I told him it was nice that all I had to do was stand there, and he said I was his only customer that ever helps unload.

You have a lot of pine trees or did you clean some leaves up already?

 

When I bought a cord it was 3 guys throwing splits out like crazy, no way I was getting up in there and get smacked in the head with a split

 

Lots of evergreens. Fair bit of Red Maple, some Poplar, and not a whole lot of Oak.

 

Maple leaves are dropping pretty good now but there's a whole lot still up in the oaks

 

Yeah, I stood off to the side. I might be stupid, but I'm not stupid.

 

The Oak leaves seem to hang on right into the middle of winter, if not longer.
Still quite a bit of Maple leaves still attached., but not for long.

 

Almost knocked my dad out one time when I was a kid, throwing trash out of the pickup at the dump, beaned him in the forhead with a Karo syrup bottle

 

I should make a pecan pie.

That is the way I was brought up, you didn't stand around when someone else was working; even today I am ready to jump in even if paying.

 

This load is 99% Ash (or some percent close to that).
