USPS has LOTS of problems these days.

I tracked a package last spring that got sent to 3 different towns for delivery, nowhere near me (1 in Ct., 2 in NY towns). I figured the label must be messed-up and they couldn't read/scan the barcode. Finally, after 2 1/2 weeks (and it was only coming from Pa.), it showed up at the post office. I printed out the long tracking history of all the delivery attempts, went to the PO, got the package.......the label was in PERFECT condition.

I showed the tracking history to the post master, and all he could say was "gee, sorry"

I get it....I'm an American League guy (Go Yanks!), but it's been so long for the Cubbies, I can't help but root for them.

Was considering some cleanup outside today but the wind has changed my mind on that. Maybe mother nature will help out and blow some leaves out of the yard

I get that part too and normally would be all over it for the Cubs, but I really want Francona to pay back Mr Epstein for trashing him in Boston. Theo just might be heading for the Hall of Fame if the Cubs win, but I lost much respect for him in the way Francona was treated. Its one thing to move on from a manager and another to do it in the way this was done.

I don't know if you would want to give up your time for what you might get back, but if you made a formal complaint to the Postal Service, you might get better follow up.

That wasn't Epstein. If you recall Epstein had issues with the ownership before 2011 and at that time as well. I believe that is when he left for the cubs. Francona and Epstein left at the same time IIRC. Rumor has it ownership leaked those stories as far as I know.
For me it's a win win. We should NEVER have chosen Luccino over Epstein, and we should have kept Lester instead of offering him that embarrassing offer.
The Indians on the other hand have Francona, Miller and Napoli. All guys I would like to see win.
But IMHO seeing the Cubs win would pizz off current management more so that is who I am going with.
Plus, when I was a kid I always rooted for them as my national league version of the Red sox.

True that Red Sox ownership had much to do with the Francona firing and bad mouthing. Maybe I am getting caught up more in that Theo had his hand in the final stages and was doing as he was told by those who paid his salary. Theo was still there during Terry's departure and had his role in to to some extent.

Allowing Theo to leave was as bad a move as the way Terry's separation was handled.

Prime rib, yum. That is better for you. All natural fats. I think it has been a year since I last had prime rib. I'll go for sirloin at a better price point. If I get it at a really good place, it is an excellent steak. I'll go for a 6 oz and have all I can do to eat that. No appetizers. They ruin my dinner. Good to get out, even on a gloomy day.

As much as I love a good sirloin that is prepared properly, there is no substitution for a well prepared Prime Rib. One of my favorite steakhouses in the area is Granite Steak and Grill in Rochester. They know how to prepare steak...and an 8oz Prime Rib dinner is 17.99-not too bad. They also have plenty of other choices equally as good

Another local favorite that does a good Prime Rib on the last Friday of every month and at very reasonable prices is Kellys Country Kitchen in Farmington NH. Every Friday night is also fried fresh seafood night.
