We had .25 inches of rain last night, Thursday they're calling for just over 2.00 inches, Friday they're calling for 1.31 inches of rain.

Even if we get half of what they have forecast on Thursday and Friday it will be welcomed.

Of course the grey area near Cape Cod is dry. Story of our summer, no rain.

We've had another 2.25 inches of rain since I read it last, I think the reading before this was just over 0.25 inches of rain.

It's still coming down steady so I'll take another reading before supper.

If the rain stays steady today and tomorrow, I'm thinking we'll get 3.75 - 4.00 inches of rain for a total.

The rain gauge was at the three inch mark when I was outside checking the flow of the gutters about 9:30 or 9:45, we might hit four before the end of the day.

Update: I just took another reading (11:32 a.m.) we've hit 3.5 inches of rain. If it keeps up like this the rest of today, we'll hit 4 without a problem.

3.75 inches of rain and it's still coming down pretty good. I'll have to check the Brook tomorrow, it should be churnin down through pretty good.

We could be in for another inch of rain tomorrow.

Sadly, people always say they hate snow. But, without it we have droughts.
That 4 inches of rain just runs off. Snow puts the water back into the ground. We've had very little snow the last few years. :(

Steady rain still coming down here. I can not remember when I have seen this much precipitation in a 2-3 day period we are having now. It has been a good while.

Thats some great news right there!
The northeast is in bad shape right now. I truly believe the extreme hot we are having is multiplied by the drought conditions.

How long will it take your place to drain off? I think you said that you had clay.

About 30 miles south. We didn't have quite as much of the heavy stuff as Centre County
