Oh yeah! I finally got the last of what I've brought up for this year's use stacked today. It's coming along. Gave the propane company a call, too. They don't have ANY documentation on the delivery they were supposed to make in June, and won't honor the price. Goodbye, Hub City Propane! Go figure. Good thing I don't really need it. Don't worry, though. The competition says they'll be more than glad to deliver at HCP's quoted price. Thanks! (I like to start the season with a full tank.)

Yes a little cheery. The splitter came at this price. :dex:

For this load he took, the splitter was free of charge. Nice eyes Horkn . just a few chunks of cheery in the pile.

Better start watching for a good sale on a splitter now Thor, if you think you have a solid connection there.

I agree. A splitter of your own would be a great thing to have.

In my humble opinion, the very best thing you can give an arborist friend is a referral. When people know you are after firewood, they will often ask you about trees they want rid of. Trees standing alone in a field are not an issue. But when you encounter jobs where your lack of insurance, or the technical nature of the fall needed etc.... have you concerned, refer it to an arborist. Arborists I work with will usually discount the job because they know I am coming for the wood and will clean up after myself as they would have done. Note: most scroungers, poachers and drive by guys will usually not clean up after themselves as if it were their own place. Homeowner gets tree down safely, at a good price. Arborist gets work he may not have found without you. You get firewood! The majority of my firewood comes from arborist friends.
