Trailer has mixed wood in it and these are the only pictures I have so far.
Most of what is in there I think it's the same and I'm thinking Elm or possibly Box Elder, could be something else too.
Creamy color inside, some have brown streaks down the middle some in with a little tiny bit of red streak.
I have a bunch with no bark and it is Bumpy, only Bark pictures I have right now are the ones in the trailer

Box Elder will likely be gnarly and twisted when split. And will likely have reddish streaks down thru the wood when split.

Hard to tell from the pix due to the age of the wood.

Burns good, just lit some up.
This stuff is mostly 4 to 8 inches and two and a half years stacked.
When I look close I'm thinking More so Elm, it has crossed grain flecks like Maple but smaller and it's a light creamy color, it's not gnarly

The Red tells me Box Elder... it's also related to the maple family...

The red streaks do look like box elder; but, box elder rarely has such straight grain in it like your pix show. Just saying of course.

Doesn't look like any elm I've ever split, not stringy enough. Box elder or red maple, just my .02.

I found the following images. I burn the stuff because it is on our property. If kept off the ground and seasoned properly it burns alright. I can't see it go in a burn pile after I take the time to cut them down. I typically mix with some oak and it does the trick. image.jpeg image.jpeg

I agree, as someone who c/s/s and burns a lot of Elm, if it isn't all stringy, it ain't Elm. Elm never, ever, splits straight and clean. Unless it is so rotten it breaks apart punky like.

Red/slippery elm splits easily when fresh cut.

I split up a bunch of this wood today, I did find a piece of elm in there but, most of it is some kind of maple, as far as boxelder I'm not sure because most of it does not have any red in it.

Ah, there's the string cheese elm!

But yeah, looks like a lot of box elder.

I burn the box elder too. If I cut it, I'll split and stack it. It's all btu's.

Yeah, I'll burn it when it's not too cold then mix it with, Ash, Hickory, Oak, whatever.

Looks just like boxelder to me. Most boxelder does not have the red streaks in it, that's just a special bonus for the wood workers! And boxelder is part of the maple family.... Easily confused with red maple and often sold as maple.

It must be boxelder then, I only had a little bit of box elder before and it had a lot of red in it.
I burned a lot of Red Maple and it's heavier than this
