    The piece sitting on the beam that looks sorta' like a rectangle looks like Oak. So does a lot of the rest.

    Yep... Looks to be a lot of Oak... but theres a few pieces look like Honey Locust (think pinkish color when split)....

    Ok well from the sounds of it it's oak or maple and there is a tonnnnnn of this where I got so I'm going back and getting some for myself, a ton of it cuz all that was my buddies and since I let him use my splitter he owes me a trip
