So I have been getting a bunch of bad starts lately. Maybe like 25 percent bad. I checked the ohms on the igniter and it read 49. Is my igniter bad or is something else going on here :(

IHP look into air flow past the igniter. It counts far more than people give it credit for.

Seems to be a good 300 watt unit.

I took the igniter out and put a little wire brush through the housing. Nothing there. The burn pot holes are clean as well.

There is a poke out hole and don't forget that the igniter can not be blocking the air flow (too far forward)'.

Not sure where this poke out hole is....may have to look at that damm manual. The igniter is way back in that tube

Not sure how long the igniter tube is, but I can stick my finger in it and not touch it and the igniter is in all the way. The collar of the igniter is touching the tube.

Take the ignitor out of the stove completely, put it on something non-combustible or find a way to hold the base in a vise, and put 120v to it.....the entire rod (with the exception of maybe a 1/2" of the tip) should get red hot.

I had one in my 1-cpm go bad....it would still light the stove, but took a long time (10 min). New one had the stove up & burning in under 3 minutes.

True, but see my post above. I had plenty of airflow, and it still took forever to light.

Is your burnpot seated up against the tube?
