Finally got around to putting that thing together. Nice work Shawn! Now I'll be ready to buck up some wood1 after hunting season. Also if we have another gtg next spring others will be able to see it up close and personal.

I'll be guessing it didn't look at all like the picture, right?

Nice saw buck, Sav. The FHC logo makes it all official like.

Hey, congratulate Shawn too; he made it and sent it to me. All I did was assemble it and that did not take long at all. He did a super job.

Very nice saw buck! Is the logo branded in or painted? Either way it looks awesome.

Thanks! Dunno about a video... I made a tracing of the logo and I transfer that onto the wood with carbon paper, and then I fill it in with a wood burning pen. If you wanna give it a shot on yours I could send you a copy of mine.

    Happy cuttin' Dennis! :handshake: :)

I believe he burns it into the wood.

Mine is too dark so it wouldn't pop. More interested in the whole wood burning pen technique. I suppose youtube can help me there.

Yeah I think if I tried to make a video you'd probably  ... Maybe if we could get Garry Polmateer to do the FX and editing...:D

It's pretty easy - I just use the standard tip, which is sort of a chisel shape. So you hold it more upright to make a line or angle it to fill in. I like to turn the piece a lot to work comfortably and with the shape of the tool. So it would be a lot harder to do after its assembled.
