I don't know about the weather where you guys are, but around here today was pretty close to, if not THE top day of the year.

Very cool here, but clean and crisp following the frosty morning.

Would have been a great day to hit the water. But no way were we gonna put all da chit back in what we took out last night. So we carried on with the plan.

Boats winterized and covered! Joeys car is winterized, Sn*ws put on and changed the spark plugs. Also changed the cabin filter. When I tried the heat is had a funky smell. Filter was eky and ewe!!

Pickup got all its fluids topped off and oil changed. Lubed the door hinges and changed the air filter. Tire pressure checked while I had the air tank out. All the new buggie needed was tire pressure and oil level checked. I did top off the washer fluid. So maybe next weekend will be sn*wblower/Genny tinker and do some leave's.

Sorry will, Da boss was keeping an eye out! So I didn't fill my beer quota. But workin hard at catching up now. Need some grub too.................

Did the first light cleaning of the P61a today. brushed out all ash and emptied the 1/3 full ash pan. Sure, it could have waited, but I figure if I keep on top of it now, a cold snap won't catch me trying to clean it in a hurry. Didn't remove the exhaust fan cover or check the fines box - just took care of the main burn area.

Not much ambition today; re-sewed a button on a jacket (it's been hanging very loose for a while, just always forget about it), punched another hole in a new leather belt that I bought 2-3 months ago (yeah, I procrastinate), took a nap, read for a bit, dump run and stopped for a few groceries, then started a sweet potato soup in the crockpot. only 3.5 hours to wait :stirpot:

Oh, I hauled out a nice corner wall cabinet with a glass door to the curb. It wasn't there for 10 minutes and someone picked it up . I have been moving that thing around in my basement for 2 years trying to figure out a place to put it up. Sadly, the only corners large enough are in the bedrooms - so I finally decided to let someone else enjoy it. Also hauled the old over-the-range microwave out as well as the old medicine cabinet. They are still there waiting for someone to take them home. If not, I'll load them up and take them to the dump next weekend.

Same here. Nice day but a top 5 day would have been just a bit warmer, I dont think it got much above 50-55. Funny, in 4 months this will feel like swimming temps

Round 1 of leaf pickup done. Tomorrow morning another soccer game for Kittery

Larry, are those solar lights in the pic? Mine are about done for the year and ready to be cleaned and stored for the winter. Too much dark and not enough sunlight hitting them now.

I don't do the leaf pick any more. I just ride the mower over them and they either grind up or blow off to the side. No big lawns here so it isn't too much of an issue. The leaf mulch is about all the fertilizer the lawn gets. I am really opposed to using chemicals on the lawn that the dogs can get on their feet. The lawn is OK, but not worth risking poisoning the pups.
