I'm thinking of installing a hybrid heat pump/ electric hot water heater, but i'll keep the super store heat exchanger that runs off a zone of the oil burner. with the pellet stove doing near 100% of the heating, the furnace runs simply for hot water. anyone have any experience with these units? it's no big deal to install - tee into the hot and cold, install ball valves, and connect 220 to the unit. an outside air kit can go into the rim joist easily in the basement.

looking at an AO Smith unit http://www.hotwater.com/water-heate...brid-electric-heat-pump-water-heater-hptu-50/

Hey David, just checked out the website. This place looks awesome !! Beer, entertainment and pub grub.

Live entertainment at small places is some of the best and although I am not into the spirits anymore, to me pub food is still among the best and their menu looks .

Yeah, I know. I would really prefer to give my business to a small local service, but I may have to resort to one of the two "big" businesses.

I understand completely. I have been lucky to have a local independent who is now retiring but his son now has his own business and as of this past week, I am using him now.

The downside of small independents is what you are experiencing right now if not an established customer.
