    Truck & trailer washed.
Got the saw & atv to go over tomorrow
Did find time for a 28 mi bike ride ,
smell of wood smoke fills the air. That time of the year.
Saw some small lakes iced over

    That sounds a little better.

I thought maybe it was just uphill both ways.:)

Beautiful spot. I asked about public cutting several years ago, the only places in Maine are quite a haul from me.

Dave, we had more than frost on the pumpkin this morning as there was also ice on the water. Now it's going to warm up.

Glad you found another spot, I guess it's a little farther away but looks like a good spot, with better wood,
Looks like it's easier to get out of there also, and not far from the road.
Is the wood easier to get out there ?

So far it's easier to get out & a way lot closer for the atv to travel. A 5 min atv trip down the hill.
    Better wood too,
Am up against the "ribboned off" border
+ 2 or 3 other cutters in there too, less & less birch every day.
hope to get another cord or 2 / 3 .

Be nice to be there when a new area opens. Cut & load from the road. :)
    Probably "Dreaming" :tears:

Sure hope you can get enough before the other guys get too much. You'll probably have to hunt for more again next year?

Probably have enough now, have had 2 mild winters
and have not burned as much as I'd planned.
but never have "to much" wood

But yea, 2 more cord at least would set me up pretty good
Will be looking for places to cut
& can always cut early spring before bugs come out.

Not in panic mode, yet :)

Good thing Dave. It won't be long before you freeze up and are done cutting for the winter and then can concentrate on other fun things to do.

Plan was to go cut today
40 Mph winds today changed the plan
Other things to do , but not near as much fun
    Maybe tomorrow or next day
