Just called the propane man to fill up muh tank with dinosaur juice. $1.29/gallon. I hear all the grain dryers running so I figure it isn't going to get much cheaper.

Why do you need to go in the attic for a mini-split install?

Morning all. Must be crappy weather coming as the bird feeder has a line-up this a.m. Breaky in and then off on an adventure with my buddy to pick up a good sized cabinet style generator which is complete right down to the auto switch gear with the exception of the fact that the generator portion is toast. Happens that we have another unit minus the controls. Can you say 2 makes 1? Everybody have a great and safe day.............

Gonna' be mid 70's today,,change #22 has created additional time/delay in the go-rodge project..I'm making it up as I go which lends itself to some "trial and error".
Monday nite, tore out part of the workbench so I can re-locate the beer cooler,,2nd time for re-locating the outfit. Yesterday decided the brown metal behind the woodstove was too dark, so started whitewashing the metal, 2 coats,,,,,or was it 3 coats of paint ?,, and it needs at least another coat of paint. It's all good, this something I should of done 15 years ago.
Sun is shining, better get out of doors. Peace.

Using the "new math" being taught in school this might make sense.

I can think of another reason or two, but it just seemed a little odd.
Never installed one, although I keep thinking of doing one in the shop, and removing the furnace and ductwork out there.

I am not picking on you. I just want to mention some facts about Velveeta. Velveeta, you know that isn't cheese, it has some by products of cheese, but not cheese. The official list of Velveeta ingredients is as follows: Milk, Water, Whey, Milk Protein Concentrate, Milkfat, Whey Protein Concentrate, Sodium Phosphate, Contains 2% or less of: Salt, Calcium Phosphate, Lactic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Alginate, Enzymes, Apocarotenal, Annatto, Cheese Culture. Meanwhile, the ingredient list for most cheeses is milk, rennet, and maybe a little bit of salt. Velveeta is a processed food, loaded with lactose. Hard cheese is often lactose free.
We have been trying hard to eliminate processed foods. Can't help but feel they aren't good for you.

I am so dependent on coffee, I can't start my day or behave until I get a cup in me. Then I wake up, have my bacon and eggs. Read the paper, feed the pets and then I am ready to get started.

Gotta have that cup first thing. Not just to wake up, but I also love the taste. Had four cups already today.

Did not realize hard cheeses are mostly lactose free. Good info, savemoney. And you also ruined me on eating Velveeta. :(

Yup, but I don't want any of that sweet candy coffee - give it to me black and bold. :D Two cups of Folgers in the morning before work, and a large from Tim Hortons with my breakfast. :coffee:

Anyone else try Firehouse Subs? OMG you have to try the NY Steamer.

Best you know what you are really eating. I am eating real food these days. Maybe a late start, but better late than never. I think back to what my grandparents ate. They had fatty foods that we were all taught to stay away from, yet we fill our gut with transfats and sugars. If you eat things like natural fats, eggs, whole milk, cheese, butter and meats , in moderation, and fruits and veggies and avoid the processed foods, your body will be fed what was intended for it. I've been doing this for a few months now. Never hungry and always have something delicious to eat. Plus I am loosing excess weight and feeling much better. Took over three weeks to feel the difference, but when it happened, I was really aware of it.

Velveeta is not food. Is it "stuff" made to resemble food.

It is a "ducted" mini split. The S/A and R/A will all be in the ceiling of the first floor.

The other one we did this year was just the opposite-S/A and R/A were in the floor with the unit in the basement.

The difference is that the indoor unit of the mini-split requires a duct (plenum) that will feed S/A branches. Both cases this year, they wee 4" pipes running to the registers.

It also has the heat pump.
Looks like it'll be finished tomorrow.

    Kinda what I thought.
What's the SEER on this one? I've seen some as high as 21-22 recently. Wondering how well they really perform when it gets around zero...when you'd really need the heat.
    Real world, not sales hype.

As you guessed, I think it is also around 21-22. Not sure.

Don't know about zero.....the house has a boiler for that and plan one using the heat pump for their shoulder seasons!!
