Some of them were inserts, did you see the one where the person has pipes going through the stove? I think he was heating water! I've seen that before. Yea, there out there, There not so cheap out here.
Washington and Oregon have very strict old stove laws,not even supposed to sell them,are supposed to be destroyed.
It makes sense they are cheap in the states where you can't BUY, SELL or INSTALL them legally. Nationwide no. Only those states require Certified only. But there is legislation proposed to make it more. Most states and local governments now require UL Listed appliances as well as most insurance companies nationwide. They are grandfathered if already existing, unlike OR, WA and CA where there is no Grandfather Clause.
