jtakeman Just looked these up on Tire Rack....gotta get a snow tire/wheel package for my daughters Scion XB. This is what they recommend:

And these were others I was checking out....the Blizzak's were still the best.:

TB is all changed out. Road tested after the 15 minute idle. No more hesitation, buckin or most importantly the wrench light is gone. Took it for a good 30 mile ride. About good as new. Definitely more responsive now. Notice the mass air sensor is dirty. Gonna pickup a can of cleaner. Give it a squirt next weekend when we change the oil and winterize it. Put on the sn*ws too...

Back to work tomorrow, And likely start nitpicking some of the small jobs that need to get done before the cold sets in. I might start by draining the garden hose tonight JIC we get the frost??

Jeez, I'm tired! I need to hibernate!!

We out Nokian on my Ex's car many many (at least 17) years ago. They did great for her ....matter of fact I just got them out of my shed a few years ago and gave them away.

Blizzak are more of an ice tire which was why I used them for my long and hilly/twisty commute back then. They likely dont test well due to cost and the fact that they wear very quickly to give that ice traction.

Spent my day off at the soccer field in York Maine. My honeys' youngest team won their division in a 3 day invitational tourny with teams from as from Maine and NH!! 5 games in 3 days (including 1 on Sunday in the pouring rain at 50 degrees :shiver:) and they went 4-0-1 winning the championship against a team that was a bit bigger than they were and more physical.

Welcome to the York Soccer Club Website Harvest Cup Soccer Tournament - York, Maine

Congratulations Kittery Soccer Club Girls U13 division !!:banana:

Another tournament next weekend as their league playoffs now start.

I basically handed him what tool he needed and got a few of the stubborn things(Air tube was stuck and the 4 TB were snug). But I made sure he tried it first. Air box clamp & tube was a PITA, I was afraid he zing his knuckles. So I tackled that part. :)

Did learn one thing, He gotz "WAY" more patience than me!! Yes, I cussed at that air box!!

    F%$&!#? P*$@ $#^+

Got my review at work this morning. Got an excellent review and one of the top raises. The sad part is that it puts me at the salary I was hired at in November 2012 (at another place). So next year I will make what I made in 2013 - except the benefits cost way more (for less coverage), so I won't take home as much as back then.

I was hired here 2nd quarter of 2014 and this is my second nice raise. At least I'm not going backwards (KOW) and this company has been around for 47 years, so it shouldn't close down as my last two places of employment have done.

Ahh well, I'm employed, my employer is happy with me, and I could do worse ($ wise and employment wise), so shouldn't complain.
