At my house we call Thursday Nights "Take a Break Thursday" where my wife, a stay-at-home mom, gets a break from cooking and I do it instead. I typically cook 4 course meals so its kind of our way of going out to eat without going out to eat, if you know what I mean.

    Tonight we had:

Baby Back Ribs smoked with apple wood (and yes off our own trees)
Stuffed red potato with sour cream, peprika, and bacon crisped with extra virgin olive oil
Apple And Cinnamon Bread Tart with sugar glaze topped with a side of vanilla pudding
    Fresh cider

Its not always easy to please everyone as I am cooking for ages 3-42, but it gives Katie a break and us a chance to eat a nice meal. I decided to do this for her after hearing a sermon about how Christian are supposed to serve others and I felt this was a good start.

BTW: Do not take this the wrong way, we always eat together as a family, its just that we don't eat such elaborate meals.

Oh it is better then that my friend. My fields have these little white wooly things that eat green grass, poop out black pellets, but somehow make red meat. It truly is amazing!

Nice! The Weber does a great job of smoking once you get the temp and burn down right. You using the snake method?

Preppin a 7lb+ briskett destined to be a pastrami for saturday on the BGE.
    Will be first attempt.
Hopefully the relative like it (aka survive?) enuff to attempt a second time

Yea, I know.. need the pics..

Up for a breath of air and a flip before another soak.
Bowl is 6 in high, 14 round.
Had to do extra brine (compared to recipe ) to cover.
