Post your big rounds! I was bucking up some ash got this one in half iso core love it 34" Should help towards my 3year plan!
Lol anything over 26" is big in my area their are some silver and sugar maples in the 35-40 range but I haven't borrowed a tractor for those yet.
Go home? I am not even leaving the house my dead standing oaks are 8-14" average. But that makes it fun and easy work for me.
I'll have to dig in the archives. I've done some MONSTERS over the years. Here's a 38" ash we did a few weeks ago....it's becoming lumber for kitchen cabinets as we speak....
Have you seen any of the lumber from that yet Scotty? I'm seeing some curly figure in the stump there.
Fortunately we don't have any big stuff here as our woods is young. We do have a couple around 36-40" but those won't get cut. The biggest we've cut on this place is 34" diameter at the base and that was white ash. There are a few big trees in the area though and here are some pictures of my wife with one of the big ones. She is 5' 2". Then there was a time:
Not yet. He should be milling it aoon. Possibly this weekend. I ripped the stump in half and it does have some curling.....
