Stove for Oil? - Is this a good idea in the long run?

I wish I could sell my furnace and get a stove sometimes? LOL

 

Smart move for today, but in the long run it is probably a bad move.

 

If he needs money for oil, then that means he probably doesn't have money to buy pellets to put in that St. Croix. It may be all about a dire financial position and he is doing what he needs to in order to heat his living quarters.

Or, could have the money and just be short-sighted, or became disabled and can't move pellets any more. Really don't know what the facts are, so can't make a judgment. Not only that, but who am I to judge even if I have the facts? After all, on another forum I have all kinds of people telling me what a fool I am for burning pellets. As long as he isn't stealing money to buy whatever his fuel of choice is - then I am good with it.
