I now feel safe because I have a whole house full of weapons , Kitchen knifes, hammers , drills , saws , baseball bats , screw drivers , a car and guns just to mention a few . But remember choose wisely because you only have one chance to save you or your families life.
I only have a basement full of pellets........... Suppose I could throw em at them. They'd likely fall and sue me???
You wouldn't. Because you are using your 'guns' for target practice, like I do. Weapons would be way to vague. It's a fallacious argument. A gun is a weapon. A football is not. It is not a toy. It's a ball. The fact that something can be USED as a weapon, does not make it a weapon... A gun is ALWAYS a weapon. A baseball bat is not a weapon... it can be USED as one. I can USE my pellet stove for a table. But it isn't a table....
I think I am a responsible owner. Over 50 years. I saw the episode of Rifleman, where Lucas McCain called his rifle a tool, also. It's a quaint thing to say. But a block plane is a tool. It could be used as a weapon. A gun is a weapon. But if you use it as a hammer, you're an idiot. Done with this is we are just:
Me too, BUT once I open the pallet I would feel compelled to bring 50 bags to the basement and I am not feeling like doing that by hand. Since I use the truck to trek across the front lawn, down the hill and back up to the basement door to offload I like to wait until the ground freezes some. In all likelihood I will tear into them shortly as I dont want to be burning LaCrete in October
No biggie if the crabbes produce, But if they don't? Might wanna save some La Crete's for da cold(if we get any).
Very true buddy. My real burning wont start until cold hits. Until then its oil heat. It takes too long and too many pellets to get the basement warmed up and actually its more economical to use oil for the early fall. Although it felt really nice in the basement last night during the test burn. If we get many weekend days like today-raw and wet-then the stove will be on more than if we get sunny days that warm the house.
