If I didn't need to finish the stove(pull blowers and do the venting) I might have pulled the Weber out of the shed. I got tired of the evil eye and figured I best get the stove rolling.

Stew in the crock and bread is almost gone.... At least they saved me a piece!! I'll have to get my grains in another form! :D

We are in Stowe and stopped by Cold Hollow Cider Mill today. Saw how they make the Cider (very cool) and picked up a dozen cider donuts. Delicious!!!

Brought home two tons of pellets today. $189.50/ton for Pro Pellets. Not bad. I burned 118 bags last season.

Might pick up a ton of something else if I get the itch, otherwise I should be good to go for the season. There are at least 100 tons sitting at my supplier. They don't seem to be moving too fast this season.

What can I say? Oil was cheap last year. :)

If I can turn up the t-stat, roasting some dead dinosaurs for the same or less than pellets and not have to load/clean/vacuum, why not?

If I could get propane or natural gas I would do it in a heartbeat! Not in the cards. Oh well.

There are rumors floating around the area that natural gas may be coming down our road sometime in 2017. I'll believe it when I see it, but if it does, I'd have a hard time not getting hooked up to it.

Propane is readily available here, but back when I got my new furnace (14 years ago) oil was the cheaper way to go. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have gone with propane.

Until natural gas shows up, it's the status quo of pellets and firewood for the cold snaps with oil filling in when it's not so cold or when I'm lazy (until oil shoots back up in price, which someday it will).

I forgot to grab some cider and when I remembered the line was too long and moving slow. No worries as so many around here make it it isnt hard to find local cider.

A day full of football, Ryder Cup, sausage on the grill and perhaps an adult beverage or two.
