Just because I'm on vacation doesn't mean I'm not in full-on hoarder mode. :fire:

Rental house has a ZC fireplace.

It's been down in the high 30s a couple nights at home. Ground isn't near cold enough yet for a frost but it's coming. And I'm about an hour north of my usual latitude.

MasterMech I was talking to my friend all excited like about the saw and the muffler mod when he said that I would have to be careful about over revving the saw if I had the muffler mod done. Is that true?

Nope. That's why you retune it. You put more fuel to it to make it fours stroke and not lean out and over rev.

It will turn more RPMs than factory but nothing that it cannot easily handle esp since the muffle will be more free flowing and the carburetor will be tuned to allow more fuel to flow.

Nah. Nothing I'm going to do will send that saw into self-destruct mode. We aren't going to raise compression, alter port timing or any of that stuff. Just make her all she should have been from the factory. They are built from the factory to take a heap of abuse anyways.

And if there was anything too that all of us would have blown up saws...since we all have muffler mod saws! I have like at least 4 of them and a weedeater. Maybe some I have forgot. And if that were true all these ported saws the's guys have turning like several thousand RPMs more than factory should grenade first cut.

Supposed to be a minty echo 4600

Shipped in a husqvarna 450 box, almost feel bad for the sob that swiped it out of the box thinking he was getting a brand new husqvarna 450 rancher lol.

Box showed up perfect, excellent tape job. Just empty....

Seller made it right with me, and is now trying to get his money back from ups..

If anyone sees a minty orange echo 4600 on c list between Texas and mi let me know :)

I am glad I ship The Beast in a plain box; might be a lesson learned about shipping boxes.

I've shipped over a dozen saws in Stihl boxes. Insured of course. All have made it just fine. If the saw is in the box when they pick it up, and not when it gets dropped off...... that's the carriers problem. Of course when the saw is unique or collectible, it doesn't reduce the hurt very much.

A ups worker told me about some of the stuff that "goes on" at ups. I replied that you can't do that, it's must be illegal!
Nope is what his answer was!
