I bought a Bri-Mar 14' tandem axle dump trailer, 14k gross... For hauling wood with. Guy I've known for a while was upgrading, and I got a good enough deal on it to use for a while and hopefully break even on at least.

I needed something for hauling wood with here for a month or so, but will probably be mostly done with it in a couple weeks.
Works great, but could use a little TLC, but nothing that needs done immediately. I guess I'm just gauging any interest any of my folks here would have, before I send it down the road sometime later this fall.

If I sell it on CL, I'll do some things to it and sell it for quite a bit more (I'll have plenty more in it at that point). If any of you locals want it for a deal, message me in the next week or so. If you've been in the market, holler at me.

So yeah, not for sale yet... But if you're on the hunt give me a shout. Id rather pass it along to someone here if I can.

It isn't too shabby, needs a good wash and some paint more than anything. Cylinders don't leak, lifts like a million bucks.

No problem bud. I imagine there will be plenty of interest in it. Bri Mar 14' dumps sell for 12,500 and some change, I figure if I can get around 3k for this one I will be ok with it. I know there are cheaper trailers new out there, but there does seem to be a following of some sorts for these. If I kept it, I would probably put 7-800 in it and it would be pretty darn nice. I had almost 4k in a furnace, duct, and chimney install this week or I would hold onto it a little longer. The nice thing in Ohio, it is under 4,001 lbs, so all that is needed for plates is a weight slip.

Yeah I'm sure there will be also. I bought a bri Mar equipment trailer this spring it's nice. That would be nice pa has a bunch of stupid regulations.

I have family in South Carolina, and if I remember correctly, they don't even title trailers. As you can guess, they come up missing quite often down there lol.

Well... I was set to buy an Englander, but Home Depot didn't even have one on display for me to look at.
I bought a Daka instead. I'm overly impressed with the build quality, made in MN. I haven't heard anything bad about them, and for the price I could probably sell it used for what I paid for it new if I didn't like it.
I lit it up last night, it used less wood and produced more heat than my old King would have dreamed of. But... That ol gal saved me quite a bit of money the last 7 or 8 years.
This Daka should save me more, And quicker. New house is all electric baseboard, I knew it wouldn't keep us warm without some hellacious heating bills. The plan is to pretty much exclusively heat with wood this year.

Snagged one at that Menards sale dint ya?! Sounds like you have a good plan in place.
Shouldn't have any trouble selling that trailer...I hunted for a smaller dump trailer for quite a while, couldn't find much under $3k that wasn't rusted out

Sure did buddy. They had it for 799 on sale and a 100 dollar mail in rebate on top of it. Got all my stainless there too.
I didnt have duct work, so had to have that put in too.

The trailer is far from perfect, but can't see it being in any worse shape than what it should be in for being 18 yrs old or so. Frame and mechanics are pretty solid, or seem to be.

If you don't have a title, it can be a ROYAL BEEEEEEEE-YATCH to get it legal in a state that does, like NY. Ask me how I know.... :picard::headbang:

MasterMech I have some news for you that you may like!
You can register a NY trailer in Maine. All done by phone or computer.
What you pay for 1 year in NY you can get a 5 year plate from Maine for about the same amount!
    Go to
    https://mainetrailerregistrations.com
    and check it out
Very easy to do even with just a bill of sale.
I have 3 trailers with them. The largest is a 16' double axle
A friend of mine has his excavator trailer done this way. No problems, just read thru what you have to do.
They even notify you by mail when its time for new plates. I'm on my second set of 5 year plates now
