Both stoves and flues are clean and ready to go. 37 here this morning, but the house was not chilly enough to burn yet. Maybe tonight.

Final exhaust pipe cleaning of the P61a and a test burn. P43 is good enough for now - so it really was a test and has since been shut down and turned to off. Caught this pic right at ignition.

When I cleaned the flues, they both had cobwebs in them. The ash pans in both stoves were cleaned up in the spring. There was a damprid in both and each had about an inch of water in it. The P68 ash pan also had several dead moths in it.

I remember going thru Whitefield on the way to Santas Village about 5-6 years ago when the kids were younger. We actually started at Six Gun City which was so lame that I demanded our money back and we went to Santas Village which was a great place-we all had a great time.

Too bad about Six Gun City-I remember going there as a kid and we loved it. Even the kids thought it was lame so it wasnt an "adult" thing. After 45 minutes of trying to like the place it was obvious that it wasnt going to happen.

I went by them both places this summer on my way to Vermont. There were still signs on the highway for Six Gun City but if you didn't know it was there you'd never stop. In fact I didn't figure it out until the way home. Santa's Village on the other habd was packed both times I went by.

I had one this morning. Burned on low for about 4 hours. We'll see what tomorrow AM brings.

Got home from work and it was 65 in the house. Test burned both stoves for an hour. 72 in here now. Had a close call with the P68. Cleaned the flue yesterday. Today while at work, for no particular reason I had a random thought, I don't recall putting the ESP probe back in when the cleaning was done. Got home, took the heat shield off, and sure enough there's the ESP probe just dangling. Glad something made me think of it!

Forgot to mention one very cool thing. Over the summer, picked up a couple of those CyberPower pure sine wave UPS units when they were on sale. Thanks to IHP for the recommendation on those! One of the features of these units is you can see exactly how much electricity the stoves are using at various times like when the igniter is in use, just combustion fan, combustion fan + auger, then add the distribution fan into the mix, etc. I had read that a pellet stove uses about the same electricity as a 90-100 watt light bulb. From what I've seen so far with a quick test burn, I'd say that's probably a pretty accurate average for my stoves. It's nice to be able to see the real life values.

Well I actually ran the stove on low for the day with the thermostat set at 70 just to take the dampness out . Should be burning through the LaCretes at the bottom soon to reach the 802s.
