I figured I'd better get some wood moved in before I was caught with my pants down. I managed to get 2.5 in and under cover, the temps they are achange'n!
Thanks, I'm finally in a good routine. This in my 5th burning season and its actually the first time I feel confident going into the season. And that's all thanks to the wonderful folks on here!
Good for you. U never wanna get caught with your pants down lmao..the weather is changing fast. Not looking forward to cleaning up leaves oh well...
I hate cleaning up leaves too! I usually just put my mulching blades on the mower and mulch em up. Weird this year though, our leaves haven't even started changing yet.
I also do that from time to time, but most of the time I just mulch em and let it go. I become lazy when it comes to yard work in the fall.
I notice you have a custom job on your chimney offset. Would you post a close up shot of your bottom support plate/frame; either here or in a PM to me? I had to do the same for my chimney.
Here is what I did, I did not have a welder although I did consider trying to do a cad drawing and have a local shop weld it; but figured the cost of labour would be more than I could afford. My chimney is not very tall so hopefully it will be OK. My fried said I was building by erector set. Now back to stacking wood
That is truly awesome, Kimberly! I thought about doing it like that, but I'm holding up ALOT more weight so I went with welding The angle iron. Only thing I would suggest that you do with yours is give it a paint job, I painted mine with high solids metal primer and then two coats of Sherwin Williams macropoxy and its already rusting after only 18 months! I probably did not prep it the best prior to paintin it, which accounts for 98% of the paint failure. But nonetheless, get some paint on there! And caulk caulk caulk any place where thing are not fitting snug. You don't want any water leakage
From what I can see, I don't think you ever have to worry about being caught with your pants down. In fact, from the looks of all that you have surrounded yourself with, you probably have two or three pair on! That is one heck of a nice set up you have going. Your family must be proud of you. Love that big yellow house.
My family is proud of me. But mostly because I married a wonderful lady and somehow produced a gem of a son lol! As far as the firewood goes, They think I'm crazy. I don't care though, it keeps me out of trouble.
Amen, brother! Like I tell them, I'm wired the same as a person addicted to the junk...except cutting wood and all things involved are my drug! I could be out at the bars chasing fast girls and other works of the devil lol. But I'm not... Just makin' farwood
