Totally green here so far except for 2 trees losing leaves. My english walnut is always the first to shed its leaves and they are almost all showing some brown and the ash down the street only has leaves on the bottom half, but I never did see any on the top this year. I don't think that has anything to do with temperature.

I've seen Beech leaves turning yellow and curling up for a few weeks now due to our drought.

Should get a little relief to night. Too little too late I am afraid. However, if we can get the wells filled before the ground freezes, that will be a definite plus.

Except for the maples turning a deep red, we can only look to the sky for color. The rain overnight into this morning gave way to clouds all day, but right at sunset, the sky left a wonderful painting. Too bad the camera on the phone isn't any better showing what I was seeing.

The first pic is from the enchanted forest in Revelstoke BC. If theres any reason to wear chaps and gloves its because you dont want to brush up against Devils club! :dex:

I think if I tried a little harder I could have possibly smacked him on the rump. My wife thinks one of these days I am going to get gored by one of them
