I don't have the name of it, will get for you tonight. It's a Pre-Owned certified truck which gives you the 7 year/100k on the motor and drivetrain. I'm just upgrading it to a 7/100k bumper to bumper.

Look into getting a Chrysler maximum care service contract .

When buying a new Chrysler your can get one and it makes the factory warranty last for as long as you own the truck.

I'm pretty sure you can get one on a certified.

I wouldn't waist my money on the added care service contract . I've seen to many parts not covered under the added care plan.

I know the Chrysler plans are not cheep but if you plan on keeping the vehicle till its rusted out then go for a service contracts.

Aftermarket contracts are hit or miss. Some will pay for factory parts and some will send out their own replacement parts. Sometimes they'll ask the shop to discount their pay rate or they're only paying x amount per hour when the shop charges y. Then you get to make up the difference out of your pocket. Now all dealerships are different so your experiences may be slightly different.

Chrysler maximum care service contact is the best one available for a Chrysler vehicle hands down.

    I dunno..to me that's a loaded statement.
I think cats are misdiagnosed or purposely replaced because they are money makers.
If the cat died it should be gutted, they clog and can hurt efficiency.
I dont know if they are hard on cats or if they use junky cats. If they run cold and dirty that could be a factor. Cat placement is another factor closer to the motor the better. I would think their engineering wouldn't allow it but who knows.

Some aftermarket cats are superior to some manufacturers OEM cats as far as flow and design to help a performance motor pass emissions. Some cats (GM) are large and full of that valuable Material (platinum palladium) that make them last and perform.

I know alot of the time it's the 02 after the cat, but shops like to do all the work they can. A good scanner not code reader will show you if its the sensor.

Yea it's the cat. I can follow the o2 outputs. It's laggy and doesn't clean up to the level it needs. It too closely mirrors the upstream O2 so the computer flags it.

Slow switching 02s usually means bad 02s......
If the 02 died it will 98℅ Of the time not switch. They usually fail and read a low mv. Sometimes the heater will stop performing without losing its resistance and then essentially KILL/CLOG The sensor.
Not arguing its not the cat just offering some knowledge and experience.
I would not suggest buying a sensor either. Unless the cat clogs which it will unless it's broken or gutted, the emulator will work just fine.

Yea so if the cats working which I don't beleive it's clogged it still works. I said the wrong thing. It's not switching slow it's just that it doesn't get to the right level. And it switches rapidly as the upstream one does...not as sharp or many switches but it does swing more than it should.

If they start seeming clogged and I have sluggish performance I will gut them. I'd swap in a "test pipe " or straight pipe but I don't want the increased noise.

This is possibly the most entertaining thread I have read on any forum:).

After reading since the beginning I am going 5.0 V8 in my upcoming F150 purchase:)

No, it doesn't need those things.
I still think Nissan did it best so far with their bed storage devices.

Knowing how rams have held up rust wise, those ram boxes won't even line up after 10 years, or less. Just saying....

I had a good experience with the 5.4 in my 01 Expedition and have had the 4.6 in my 05 explorer for the last 11 years:). My brother in law has had an Ecoboost since 13 and loves it but he does a lot of highway commuting without a trailer. We tow a lot so I don't think we would see the fuel savings from the EcoBoost. Since my buddies pays wholesale the 3.5 adds 2k to the price. The nice thing is since its wholesale a 2017 is the same price as a 2016. I can order exactly the options I want:).

The 5.0 comes standard with Ram boxes and an Allison transmission. Also the massaging seats come with unlimited happy endings. The 5.0 is the clear winner for any and all of your driving needs.
