I'm pretty sure I tried it both spinning and not spinning. I'll try again next weekend.

I'll bet ivanhoe nailed it. I hadn't had any vodka to help! Maybe I'll try that next weekend instead :drunk:

Got 2" of rain this moring in 30-40 minutes. I dumped out my official measuring devices (straight sided and flat bottomed cat bowls) to measure what falls while I'm here at work. Glad the weather gurus were wrong - we were only supposed to get around an inch. At least a (small) dent in the 16.75" deficit has been made :dex:

I guess I should count my blessings she only brought one home. :whistle:This little one raises heck too. Lil stinker is quick!!

Got you by one Larry. Ours weren't planned either. This little guy is a torti(tricolor) and is pretty rare to see. Wife has always wanted one. Seems I buy new toy, She finds new kitty. Guess I best stop buyin toys??

Thanks, He's fitting right in. Like subbies. He's the new house ruler. When he meow's everyone including the dog runs to see what he needs. Spoiled?

7 cats, That's a lot of litter box duty. I hate doing it, but have to stay right at it to keep the odor down. Found if you don't keep the boxes clean, they will go elsewhere.
I order my supplies from Amazon. I have prime, so my deliveries are all paid for. I buy precious Cat Ultra premium Clumping Litter 40 lbs. $15.19 and Arm and Hammoer Cat Litter Deodorizer 30 oz. @$3.75. I also use the Self Cleaning Litter Box by Omega Paw.
No scooping with that. Use the pellet bags for the used cat litter.

two is a good number of cats. More cats, more work, and more money. But it is whatever works for you. My cats are all loveable and gentle. Not scratching. They don't damage my furniture because I set a lot of those scratch poles around. They go to them first. I don't know why, but my cats won't touch people food. If these last three hadn't been born here, I wouldn't have so many. We got attached. I had sworn off cats until a desperate scabby emaciated female cat wondered into my yard. I couldn't take her to the shelter because I was sure they would euthanize her. But the time I got her healthy, we got attached to her. She passed on, but not before we bought two Himalayan kittens. We took in another Himalayan rescue, then the first two had three kittens. All blue points. Hard to tell them apart.

Took a tour of the maine wood pellet plant today. Very interesting and informative. Met richard and scot linkletter and got some samples of their not so new softie to test out. Learned a lot. Thanks to everyone at mwp. I'd have more to say but the tiny keyboard on my phone makes it difficult.

Very cool Larry. Good for you on saving an animal in need. I would have done the same thing.

The scratching posts do work. I have several around the house and they leave the furniture alone. One of mine started on a corner of the couch and I used a trick told to me years ago. Line the area with tin foil for a while-they hate that feeling. After several days or a week take it off and generally your done because they have found the scratching posts. Maybe a 2nd treatment will be needed.

Also a water bottle with a good strong spray stream gets their attention to not do something. A little training and neither of these will be needed after too long.

Yeah using the Lint Eater and a drill I can easily get it through a 90 deg about 2 feet in from the outside with 3" ICC piping. No drill it it isnt going through.

I have two, then there is the story about the Concord SPCA gaining 40 animals in one day - mostly cats/kittens. Makes me want to run over and get another one :hair:

Were you using a drill? If not, make sure and use it only in the forward (clockwise) rotation or you can unscrew the rods
