That's quite an elaborate (and comical) sales pitch for a Craigslist ad, don't ya think? Prob scored a boatload of them at Lowes in March for $100/ton and then turn around and sell them now for $284/ton. Ouch.

of course this is true...that is why ALL pellets burn exactly the same...cause all pellets are created equal....sounds like the sales pitch at Lowes....and for those that don't know me....I'm being sarcastic

Not just lowes! Likely heard at any BBS, Local hardware, Maybe even some lumber yards........ Super markets, gas stations(the list goes on!!).

There are still loads that believe they are all created equal and all fall within the PFI limits on premium grade. A pellet that has < 1.0% is on par with a pellet that has <0.05%........... After all, Its just ash............ o_O

Just like the website link I just saw in another post. Using the moisture and ash free calculated BTU/lb to claim over 9000. I suppose, if you're going to lie about the other properties of your product you might as well go all in.

I may have mentioned before, that's one of my pet-peeves (reporting moisture & ash-free results). Mostly because it ties in to a bigger pet-peeve. I don't like dishonesty.

No, that's once you burn enough to take into account that you can't burn ash.

Also a little foot note . If your stove is heating a small area and your seating is right on top of it then you can get away with less BTUs as long as you don't mine the extra cleaning . But in my case heating the entire house from the basement I need all the BTUs I can get .:campfire:

What little extra cleaning? With that pellet you need a jack hammer and diamond files to keep the burn pot clean.
