Your so lucky, no wonder you are about to reel in a new man. Katie and I, in our old age we have resorted to Fatty-Dipping!

Ah yes....remember I said "he" had all the qualities required for this expedition? and I speak of the one I was to have met---so.. it comes out he did not meet the "teeth" qualifier--oooohhhh! gross misrepresentation of the facts--leading me on to think I'd only see the forest and not "his" tree--back to the drawing board--do not pass go do not collect $200.00---this shouldn't be this hard....

I am sorry Scavenger. Should I not already be wed to a beautiful Belle that is my best friend to boot, I am would be at least honored to take you out to dinner. (With the understanding that I do have two missing molars that really can't be seen). But atlas I am married.

Have you tried Christian Mingle perhaps? Its been awhile since I was on there but they had a lot of filters to help narrow down your search. I really do hope you find the RIGHT man that you can be at peace with. Prayers for you that it happens.

This is us on a rare overnight stay without our 4 daughters. (I do however have tattoos, does that disqualify potential male stock?) DSCN2427(2).jpg

You would not believe me if I told you. We were headed to the River Driver's Restaurant in Millinockett Maine. It is right off the Golden Road that the TV show "American Logger's" have made famous! Really good food, but not what you would expect. Its a high end restaurant deep in the woods and both times we went (without kids) we dropped a $100 on the table and did not need change!

As for Katie, she really likes to get dressed up. her last husband was controlling and told her what she could and could not wear. He liked wind pants and that was what she had to wear and heels were out because he was short and did not want her to be taller than him. me, I don't care, but then Katie has 80 something pairs of shoes too. I will say, whatever the occasion, she is always fashionably shod.

here's the latest update--yes I got on a dating website (the kind that makes money) and a guy from the Niagara Falls area is making the 3 hour drive down to treat me to a burger and beer for lunch tomorrow--well now....I will withhold judgment at least until the check is paid and I can determine his potential capabilities in the wood department:doh:--that didn't sound right---I'll show him my stacks--- even worse--see how rusty I am...

Hey, that sort of activity is like...wait for it...falling off a log! (Oh I slay myself).

    Best of luck to you!

All kidding aside I am NOT one to be single. I know people tout the virtues of it up, but I like married life! Yes, no joke. That is why I went 54 entire, whole days of being single before I got married again! No kidding on that math either, but it is a misleading statement; divorced on May 4th and rewed on July 9th in 2011. Divorce in Maine takes about a year to finalize so we were long seperated and just waiting for the actual paperwork. As for getting married again; well what can I say. You have seen my picture, when the woman-folk find out I am available, they come a running (Joking, just joking, I am not that full of myself). :dex::picard::rofl:

Now that I think about it though, with Katie's 80 something shoe collection; I could sell all those shoes on ebay and make enough money to buy a new chainsaw since I ran over my other with a bulldozer. (On accident...I feel I should clarify that).

sounds like you and Imelda could sell several things and not want for their loss...it's a good feeling to be a minimalist--goes with the wood burning lifestyle if you ask me...

I am a minimalist by nature, but my kids...not so much. As for Katie, oh my she loves her shoes. She even has a key chain that says "I love shoes" and has a silhouette of a high heel. Even the baby, back when she was a baby, had more shoes than I did, and the little darling could not even walk yet! Katie actually had a pir of high heels for her when she went to church, but for whatever reason, we never got a picture of her in them. :-(

Alright, second idea for the day to help you find Mr. Right. Go to the phone book and look up all the guys who have a last name of "Wright" and start cold calling. One of them must be available for woman fodder!

cold calling? what came to mind was coldcocked--which is not to say some of your suggestions haven't been amusing but this goes beyond the extreme even I'm prepared to attempt--or as Fred Sanford used to say--you're looking for one up-side yer head--don't I hear that bulldozer calling your name?:wacky:

Well I would hook you up with my friends, except...well...no surprise here...I have none. Nope, no joke there, my best friend left when the ex-wife left and I never really felt like replacing him. Instead I got Old Wallenstein. He is a quiet ole chap and never says a word, but of course being a steel log trailer, well that has a lot to do with it. That is when you know you live a solitary existence; personifying forestry equipment that is. Secondly, even if I did have friends, I am quite sure a lady of your class and caliber would want anything to do with any sort of chap that would hang out with the likes of me.

I wouldn't want to be in a club that would have me as a member---that's what you're saying--thank you for the good words and you are not the first to give life to your equipment a name (oops another slip of the tongue)
