Thing is when they "stack" it it is always more than a face cord. If I stacked the same splits it would be less than 8'x4'x18"... If you read the fine print there are conditions (I hate asterisks) on both the free delivery and where they will stack the wood. KaptJaq
Like I wrote earlier people here upstate NY maybe not the smartest are buying wood north of me some 20 miles in Saratoga for 125.00 a face or 375.00 a cord. Every time I think this is going to be my last year selling firewood as it's a lot of work the price moves up. This year I am charging 245.00 picked up and 305.00 a cord delivered and dumped within 10 miles of me. The 26 or so cords should return close to 7,500.00 and I have never not sold out.
I looked at prices... This one place "gourmet firewood"in wilton.....they have short face cord prices at high cord prices.. They use their own terminology for volumes which I don't agree with. I'd opinion more but don't know if they are reading lol.
In some states it's illegal to sell face cords. The legal standard is a cord of 4'x4'x8' only. There are a lot of scammers, and a lot of uninformed buyers.
