It's due to our non-dedicated server Dennis. We are growing fast here so it looks like we will need to upgrade later this year hopefully to a dedicated server.

Well, some could be our ISP too but other sites seem to work well, except for NOAA. They seem to always have problems.

Pete, me too! Becky and I were at a wedding last year in Michigan and made the 2 hour trip from where the wedding was to Dennis and Judy's place. I really wish we would not have been so far and on such a tight time schedule, because I could have stayed with them as long as they would have had me. Love their place and those wonderful people. Now if I can just get them to come see me. To bad we are 6 hours apart. I would love to be able to go cut wood with him when he is down because I know he would help me when I am down.

Hey thanks ray. I signed up early and posted a couple of times. Next time I went back the link was no good. Finally the other day I PMed Dennis and ask for the link. It had changed and I had to register again. Anyway, my recent medical issues have left me with not a lot of energy to pursue anything and I therefore neglected my hearth buddies. I will try not to do that anymore. You all are such good friends.

I've been known to do a little cutting in the mid-Michigan area...
Took out the biggest Ash tree I've ever run across just outside Charlotte this last fall...
It was dead/dying, but man, what a tree... damm bugs...

All those baseball bats, up in smoke...
    ;)

I wish you all well up there with the cut. I feel terrible about the screw up. Called the office manager today and cancelled the drop. She thought the same as I did as everyone north of Metamora here that lives in Michigan says that's where they live. I might be able to get these loads dumped at a friend of mine's house as he is in his second year burning at his new place and I'm trying to talk him into burning dry wood instead of what ever was just cut. Turns out I might have just found a new tree service to get wood from. Good luck to all of you that help with this, it's good cause and Pete must be a pretty good guy.

Andy brother as I said before do not feel bad! You had nothing but the best of intentions and they know that. If a friend has a need f the wood near you give it to them then it goes to a great cause yet. She sent a very nice email to her sister which was relayed to me in which she thanks everybody and I believe your included my friend. When everybody steps up to give a helping hand weather or not it works out the love shown is sometimes all it takes to pull others up and improve their lives. We have been helped many times and sometimes it doesn't work out but the friendships gained and the people helping have always been the thing that boost our spirits and that is priceless! I still say thank you Andy for all you have done and tried to do it shows the kind of man you are.....;)

Very kind of you to say Pete. I'll have to say, since I've joined and gotten to know some of you through the site I'm thinking these must be the kind of people America was built on. Really, who wouldn't help a neighbor in need if you could do something? Everyone here seems to have an independent spirit built upon self reliance yet when given a chance, you all are the first ones to step forward to lend a hand or give advice. I'm not sure what I like most, all the firewood and burning advice or the fact I see real people acting and behaving like the Americans I remember from my youth.

Any more thoughts on the charity cut? I don't have any wood to spare, but I could give a day cutting and/ or splitting.

Its a neighbors property I guess and I don't know for sure if we can cut there. Its literally 30 ft from there driveway though so it would be ideal!

What job you need done? I am finishing the truck tonight I hope ( trying anyway ) but this weekend should have some free time.
