I split some Maple and Cherry so I could finish off this stack. I also moved some rounds to be split with the tractor but I never took a picture.
Starting to heat up here so I don't see any wood work around here for a while. I worked about 2 hrs this morning clearing some trail where I hunt. Darn multiflora rose...got the game cam up and talked to the land owner just to make sure the permission still stood, yep good to go. He said he had 26 grouped up by the house recently. Tree stand will go up Saturday. Hopefully by the end of the month I can do some splitting.
I think on Wednesday for our area they're saying we'll be in the high 80's so my next day working on firewood will be Thursday or Friday.
Thanks My IS heats my home . I haven't been watching anything about the Tropical Storm/Hurricane, what is your area in for?
Thanks Ashwatcher , I was talking with papadave and he said that splitting horizontal was much "GOODER", I guess that I'll give it a try.
I have some fairly large rounds of Beech to do, that'll get done vertical, but I like that I can do the smaller stuff horizontal. My knees don't bend well enough to sit on a milk crate.
It took awhile for it to show up, started raining in waves at about 4pm. Winds aren't as bad as they first said this morning, hopefully they stay that way thru wed morn.
Really warmed up today. We're back into the 80's and will be for a few days. Dewpoint really raising too so a bit uncomfortable this afternoon,
Nope, we will be heading south for vaca soon I can't leave the filter run and I don't want it sitting there, so I'll load up on the winter chemicals and it will be what it is.
