I used to overclock them, but no longer care about computer speed with what minimal tasks I do with them now. That is quite the bump in speed you got there!

been running like that since the computer was 6 months old....I bought the computer i could afford then found out it wasnt fast enough to watch youtube/abc/nbc(didnt have cable at the time) so i bought a $30 mobo and started playing. kept adding voltage and playing with frequency until it would stream HD movies. I used to leave the side panel off and have a box fan blowing on it, ive since added extra case fans and keep the A/C set low to keep it running. Its on the list to upgrade but since building my current computer i dont think i can build another that is slower than this one and be happy so a $1000+ tower is gonna have to wait.

Why not just buy a dedicated $200 laptop that's a youtube, and forum runner. It will smoke that old computer and easily run facebook?

Ha I recommend plenty of Ms170 's or Poulan if that's all you really want to do. But sometimes a guy wants to keep his options open, just in case he needs to cut that 25" redoak that "may fall in a storm in his yard one day"!

Well we took some time away from the project over the holidays, needed a break from 7 day work weeks and what better time to do that than the Thanksgiving to New Years time.

We were back at it yesterday and I think someone was trying to tell us to take another week off. Woke up to a chilly 4* morning but decided we were doing it anyway since we had taken so long off.

First problem of the day was that the fuel pump on my drag up tank refused to run, after 1/2 hour of messing with it we decided to jsut start the heaters and while they were starting to take the chill off we would run up and get diesel fuel in a can to fill them up.

Second problem was the heaters wouldnt run, we had to diesel 911 them and even that wouldnt get the big one running, ended up pointing the little heater at it for 1/2 hour before it would fire and stay running. Another hour of the day gone.

Finally had heat so we started working....first sheet of drywall required a 2x4 spacer added to the truss so we grabbed the framing nailer and went to town.....one nail and it was done. Spent the next 30 minutes messing with it but it never would work so a trip home to get the spare nailer and we were back in business. Another 30-45 minutes wasted.

Got the first sheet up on the drywall jack and fired up my new toy.....Makita self feeding screw gun. Found out pretty quick there is a learning curve to it, 50% of the screws didnt countersink. Grabbed the Milwaukee 12V impact to run them in and it wouldnt turn, had to hold it in front of the heater to warm it up before it would work. Total time wasted until i had the Makita figured out and setup correctly to make the work effortless...2 hours.

Total work for the day completed=19 sheets of 5/8x10 drywall hung. Thank goodness for drywall jacks and manlifts and of course the self feed screw gun once i figured out how to operate it.....reading the owners manual might of helped on that one but who needs one of those. I think we managed to get the building into the teens at the highest point, it was a long, cold day but progress wasnt bad for working from 8:30 until 4 and the universe telling us to go home every step of the way.

Sounds about how every project I ever do goes. Just substitute the cold for anything else you can think of.

Nail gun at sub freezing temperatures means frozen moisture in the gun and it won't cycle. Once the place warms up it should work fine. Keep the compressor in the warmth too or you won't be able to drain the tank at the end of the day.

Haven't updated this in awhile but all the walls are studded and wired. Waiting on insulation and drywall. Been that way since about May but haven't had the opportunity to work on it much since then. Hopefully be back at it next spring since stuff came up and I had to put work on this place on hold.

as of last night the guys had 2 walls hung. The guys finished this wall and started on the next before calling it a day and heading home. I have all the other walls insulated on the main part of the building. heading out there today to frame in the last remaining doorway on the main building. 3 major things left to do before the whole building is ready for drywall......frame 2 walls and the ceiling in the break room, ceiling in the bathroom, and the stairway walls/ ceiling. Hopefully by the end of this week those will be done and ready for the drywall guys.

Glad to see this is going on. I had given up on seeing the end of the story, but it seems it still is in progress. Will be nice for you when you have your grand opening.

family medical issues put it on hold for the better part of the last year. still fighting thru them but money situation is looking a little better and since we are 10 months into the wait of getting VA benefits approved I figure we are close enough i can start spending money on my stuff again instead of hoarding cash to help out my parents.
