That's a cool project you have there, 4800 sq ft of shop space is sweeet. Will this be for a business? How come nobody on the FHC lives near me? :)

here is the finished support walls and the start of our first interior wall. Big opening will eventually be the counter but figured we would make life easy and leave it open until everything is built in the parts room and up in the attic. Even get to see my high tech circular saw, 5105H...no construction project is complete without having made at least a few adjustments with a chainsaw

our steps that proved the saying "third time is the charm" because we finally had every tread evenly spaced and level the third time around. 2 people that have never built steps before should not be left alone to build a set of steps.

and the stairs lead to this.....

when done this will be a 6' wide 70' long parts storage for outdated/obsolete/slow moving parts. i figure 6' wide leaves room for 18" deep shelves on each side with a 3' aisle down the middle

Any input on how we are modifying the trusses would be welcome. We have went back and forth on if what we are doing is compromising the strength.

Floor will be double layer of 7/16 OSB. Walls and ceiling will also be OSB for ease of installing shelving and to help tie everything together

need to make sure that that new load bearing wall is supported under the floor, not just on the floor. The wt. will be transferred and push directly down. Like the side walls, the center supports also need a supporting base or your mission to stop the sag will be all for nothing.

Just a little ways up around the bend from the light if I'm not mistaken. On the left heading east correct ? I get down that way from time to time to Mike's Body Shop or Brandon's

For now that's how it is supported, getting underneath the floor to block it up is impossible at this point but once we take out the floor for the shop side I'm going to crawl in and reinforce the joists/add blocking.

Easy, start with a 15 year old computer, overclock the processor and video card to the max and install windows xp..... Poor computer has a Intel celeron 1.6ghz processor that's overclocked to like 3ghz and runs so hot that if I don't keep the a/c set below 70 it overheats and shuts down without even trying to do anything on it. Replacement computer is needed but this one just keeps trudging along
