I have a stihl plastic tool ( nothing special a block carb tool ) that is made for material PA GF 50 this mean that it have inside 50% fibers that give more durability and strength we speak for a ten euros tool

the funny is the most plastics on saws and including the tanks ( not cheap ) are made from GF 15 or GF 30
so in a cheapo tool GF 50 but in a 150 euros tank GF 15

cant they change this ??? yes they can very very easy

That's a great idea, but the notion (and execution) of a self-sharpening chainsaw has been around for awhile. Of course, if you could make one that works efficiently and has large market appeal you might be on to something!

Why does everything have to be "New and Improved"? Some of the most user friendly things in life were the old things. For you it could be an old war era Volkswagen or it could be an old model T for me. When it broke and needed fixing all you needed was a minimum of knowledge and 1 or 2 wrenches to get back at the task at hand. Everything is so high tech any more that a simple man can not even work on some stuff unless you have 1 to 4 years of tech school to keep updated on every thing that needs fixing. Just sayin.

why you are here and use the laptop for communicate with us , sorry no personal problem , why dont you start a fire and comunicate like the indians before 200 years , why you go to doctor and make a x-ray test when you have a health problem you can easy go to a magician like the zulus in the africa
the problem is not the easy repair yes i can repair a mtronic saw just because i put 800 dollars and buy the tool someone else need two days for changing a simple oil seal because he use the eating fork so the repair of a machine is another story
the point of the thread is to collecting ideas for having a more good more friendly and more efficiency machine

    be good

    True. Agreed Butcher
As an aside, if I could spend my time and effort with a lighter, more powerful saw to keep our home warm and not have it hurt my back even more than now, I'm kinda all for that.
But a '72 Beetle with a PTO driven flex shaft powered saw head would be sweet! :)

Automatic mixing of oil and fuel. Electronic FI and ignition. Quieter mufflers. Better antivibe. Automatic chain sharpening and tensioning.

But then what would I do when I am normally working on the saw?

Speaking of pink safety clothes, I see NY state is allowing pink as an alternative to blaze orange for hunting. Great idea, especially if it gets more women out in the field.

Build the best saw possible, well that is pretty easy.

Build an OEM 346XPG, 262XPG, 372XPG (pre x torq), or current 395XPG. Sorry the "G"s are gone unless you stashed one.

You seem angry buddy. Maybe it's just the language barrier, or maybe just stop buying Stihl saws and have less problems:)

I have a patent I am working on for a electric start chainsaw with no additional weight, but I am not about to talk about it on a public forum yet. Sorry, just the way it is right now.

Auto sharpening would be nice, and a four stroke fuel injected motor would be nice as well.

Cheap carbide chains would be nice. They got them on every other blade or saw out there.
