    Yah, that's also a $63,000 half-ton pickup. o_O :emptywallet:

Oh, that is just the starting point. He should be able to get $13,000 off the top of that right quick. Then he will only have $50,000 to go with.

I have mentioned buying slightly used in this thread and saving upwards of $20,000 for use on something else. And buying the other brand.
But, to each his own. And I hope he finds the exact one he is looking for and really enjoys it. You only live once. Go for it!:handshake:

It's to prove how inefficient your engine runs and how much unburned fuel it can spit out.

I want to spend in somewhere in the 40's, want a pre-owned certified one. You save about $20k on the sticker on a 1 year old truck like the one I posted on page 1, and that one only had 6000 miles on it.

This one you posted is actually perfect except it's missing the running boards. But that can easily be added. However it's a brand new one, 15 miles. $62k+ is a bit much. ;)

Common, keep searching, I know you will find it!!! ;)

Says the guys on the Firewood site mostly talking about "suped" up dirty running illegal chainsaws!! ;)

You do know that was obviously a motor with a problem with it, right? The Ecodiesel is super clean running....

Actually that was likely a healthy 7.3L PowerStroke in that Ford. It's not uncommon for all but the newest generation of diesels to smoke a bit under heavy load or high rpms but they we're also often modified (electronic tune) to "roll coal" on command because it's just so cool.

That's a 6.0. Those smoke tuner settings are just dumb.

Those Rams don't look like they hold their value very well. I wonder what the same truck with a Hemi would go for?

I was suppose to get that as my next work truck but they started back peddling and I got the 1500 dodge v6. I was bummed a little at first cause I wanted the deisel. But now I love the space in the full size. Those little trucks are so small. Glad I got the fullsize. I don't buy fuel or oil changes so I don't really care one way or other.

This truck is only partially "cool"...he can roll coal but he doesn't have holes hacked in his bed for those super useful chrome big rig stacks! So much cooler when the smoke shoots straight up :p [IMG]
Then there is this mo-ron [IMG]
Of course then they can't fog out motorcyclist and people on the sidewalk...there are a buch of local punks that seem to think doing that is the best entertainment :picard:

Which is funny cause if you had a gas engine that smoked like that and smelled so bad of unburned fuel people would laugh at you and call your truck a piece.

From what I see, the rams lose the most resale value of all full size trucks. A few years ago, when I think they were still Dodge, and not Ram brand, they had a 10 yr/100k drivetrain warranty.
That made them much more attractive. Now, all of the brands are 3 yr/36k warranty.
