Yeah, but what a way to get out of it and back into a real truck....Thing went sideways as soon as she came off the ramp and onto the highway-sheer untreated ice. Crossed into oncoming traffic sideways. Good thing she didnt have a passenger, they likely would be dead. Ive got pics of the wrecked durango but cant fond them right now-likely on my work computer

After having them on my last 2 vehicles....its a good idea. Not for parking but more for safety. Especially being in a truck or SUV, you cant see what is right behind you-kid, dog, cat, etc. Regarding being forced to have them, almost all vehicles now have a screen on the dash so adding in a camera wont cost much.

I dont use it to back up...mirrors and turning your head cant be beat. But for a quick check on what's directly behind you-invaluable.

I also like that they allow to you to tell exactly how close you are to the thing that is behind. My wife has hit a dumpster or two by misjudging

In 2010 when I bough the 2009 Honda Ridgeline, I looked for 6 months on Chevy Silverado and Avalanche. 4-5 year old trucks with over 50K miles were still $30,000 and up o_O

Main reason I said that was because there is a guy in the park here that is feeding feral cats....there has to be 20 of them hanging/peeing/crapping everywhere and are becoming a real issue. If I happen to back over one, I'd be doing everyone a favor. Didn't say I don't like cats, but I AM highly allergic, and they're just too aloof compared to a dog. Just my 2 cents.

Feral cats are a royal PITA. Had one around here years ago that was luckily caught after it moved into a neighbors basement. One of my cats got int a few scuffles with it and if I had a gun anywhere near me, it would have been history on one instance.

Far as being better than dogs, not really- just different and no they are not for everyone. I have both dog and cats here and they get along-one cat is compleltely cool with the dog, the other "tolerates" the dog. And yes, you can train a cat....to a point.
