We bought a new Jeep Patriot over Xmas last years. Wifey's car had issues with stretched timing chains. Sticker was $28K we got it for $22K and 2.5% for 5 years. I don't like the look of it but she loves it. We also have a '04 Jeep Liberty that we sort of inherited. Other than normal maintenance the thing has been a great car for us. Currently has about 130K mikes on it.

Very nice truck sub! A friend bought his Colorado in February. It was his early retirement present. He retired in July.

I believe you will get your wish. I'm pretty sure Big Brother has mandated such in the future (unsure when this little gem takes affect).

The escape should get me to retirement(hopefully_) then I'll buy a putt putt for cheap $$.

Oh I can stay up without a problem (I went to bed after the 11 pm news last night), as long as it's just a night or two. However, it catches up to me in the middle of the week. Which since I only get about 5 hours of sleep on weeknights, means I'm a grouchy azz bear at work come Thursday. Oh wait, I'm a grouchy azz sow bear most days, maybe I'm more a grouchy azz Klingon :bug:

Yeah, the Patriots are ugly, but I don't buy my vehicles for looks. It filled my requirements; decent MPG, 4WD, Standard tranny and skid plate. Hope yours lasts longer than mine did - I really did love that thing, I hauled 1/2 ton of pellets in it a couple of times, and the head room was awesome (and passengers enjoyed the leg room in back). That full folding front seat back came in handy when I put an 8 ft tree, an assortments of lumber, and rigid foam insulation in there too.

I actually like the looks of them. Reminds me of the original Cherokee. Which they should never have stopped making.
