No matter what happens, you will likely not remember much of the day. So let your hair down and have a blast! We did, and missed our flight the next day......
Just sent that to the wife.. she said "is that why you're so quiet all the time?" I didn't have an answer that I could say out loud.
Fatherly Advice to Newlyweds Dr. Brian J. Kopp My advice to the Newlywed? While you're young, use your head! Have a baby... Have a few! I don't mean one, or even two. What about four? How about eight? (Making babies is really great!) Don't worry about braces, or college, or clothes. Their every need God already knows. Then when you're old, in time of need, with no more clamoring mouths to feed, look to your children that you (and God) made, to be your joy, comfort, and aid. Your babies today are your greatest treasure. You will receive in the amount you measure. God's greatest gift to husband and wife? A newborn baby. An eternal life! * * * from Amazing Grace for Fathers (The writer's only attempt at poetry, written on a napkin at a wedding reception.)
Well, since I'm out of the house for a while, either there will be a barrage of flying objects when i get home or she'll forget about her reasons for launching them at me.. Nothing like a good healthy loving relationship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=aY4YOsjCI-Q
Hey guys im back! Yesterday turned out to be an amazing day! After three days of setting stuff up in the rain, making changes due to rain, and redirecting small rivers running through the tent, the sun shined down on us for our special day. Everything went just as we hoped and we only had a bit of light showers after dark. It's kind of funny that not much feels different right now other than i have a ring on my finger. We've been together 3.5 years and lived together for the last 2. She knows everything about me and i know everything about her. When we first started dating i told her if she can make it through one hunting season with me, we we're gonna make it. Well, she made it through three of em so i knew i had to marry that girl! Thanks for all the kind words and advice! No honeymoon plans as of right now ( we went to the keys not even a yr ago) so we're saving up to take our dream vacation to Alaska maybe next year. Here's a sneak peak from the photo's. Might be a few days till we get em back from the photographer Im not as short as i look lol. I just like em tall
Looks like you married a beauty there, Smokey! By the sounds of it, you've done like I did and married your soul mate, I concur with Rottiman and wish you many, MANY years of happiness, health, prosperity, and lots of babies....... Now, GIT TO WORKIN'.....
Congrats Im glad everything worked out and yall had a nice day that picture looks good too looks like a great location to get hitched
Congrats and best wishes to you and the wife, wish you many happy years. Our wedding day was wet in the morning and then cloudy. No real backup plan for our outside wedding but it had stopped raining about 2 hours before but still very cloudy. When the pastor had us join hands the sun came out bright and we have always known it was the Good Lord blessing the union. We have led a divorce care ministry for several years so we see many reasons that lead to marriage demise....best advise I can tell you is....it's hard work but very much a blessing at the same time, if you each think more about meeting the other's needs instead of getting your needs met it can be a wonderful life. Make a vow right now to never speak the "D" word (divorce) even in a joking way...just decide that isn't an option and close and lock that door. Hard times will come as will many good times. God Bless "Life isn't about waiting till the storm passes, it's about learning to dance in the rain"
Yes sir, she's a beauty alright. Don't know how a rough ol piney like myself managed to nab a woman like her.
Looks like you two are a happy couple. You did real well, Piney. She is a catch. Many years of a happy and fruitful marriage.
