No worries bud!! Very nice pete! Sounds like you about stole it too. The incentives are pretty crazy, The deals going now are moving em. Of the 10 guys in my group at work 7 have bought new or nearly new.

    Mine won't do dat! :tears:

Gonna take me a month to figure out all the options these new fangled contraptions have. Wife got a giggle out of the power lift gate. And the nav system I'll won't get yelled at for not askin for directions neither!! :D

You got that right. It might as well be new, but I let Enterprise take the big depreciation hit. Only way to go any more, IMO.

Yeah, all the new technology is a little baffling at first, but I got the hang of the new CUE system after about a week. And the car has it's own 4G LTE wireless, and I can run the Android phone through the CUE too. So much stuff I never had before. :faint:

That ride is looking way too sweet to be hauling pellets in anyway, she's pretty.. freaking fast, I bet.

Thanks, but no pellets in this ride....that would be what the Trailblazer is for (if I ever burn pellets again).
Yep, she's plenty fast, but the handling & the ride is what sold me on it......and the quiet! BOSE sound system helps too. Downloaded 500+ songs from iTunes onto a 32GB flash drive, plugged into the car, and hit random........I have enough music from that for 5 days+, and the Sirius XM & FM HD as back-up. Oh, and I can check all the conditions of the car & it's location, start, stop, tire pressures, etc, all from the Cadillac app on my phone......amazing.

And I feel for ya bud, in regards to the college. 2 kids in college at the same time....been there, done that. Now it's time for dad to enjoy himself a little.

I can do that too, by looking for the cloud of smoke in the parking lot..  I know right where I parked !

    That's a sweet ride Pete - enjoy it !

I'll get there someday - till then, turning wrenches on the rigs here is no big deal, it's all worth it.

FYI-If it has vehicle stability control and you can turn it off...do it ! That damm thing will get you killed in slushy/snowy stuff. Anyone that knows how to drive in bad weather does a way better job than that stupid system.

My 2010 Patriot didn't have the CVT, but it still sucked. Actually, I loved that thing (5 speed, 4WD - not AWD) right up until at under 5 Y/O and 110k miles it threw the trannie. Will never, ever look at a Jeep again. That goes double for Nissan - the 2004 Xterra lasted even less time and about the same miles (technically, it still ran, just needed 6k of work and that didn't include fixing the 4WD that had died).

I'll have to remember about the incentives and loyalty discount. Hoping next fall to get a new rig (Figure the Focus I bought in Feb - 2007 with 200k miles) should be about done in by then. In fall they should be getting rid of the current model year to bring in the next year. The Explorer should go a while more (2004 but only at 138k right now). I bought the Explorer at the local Ford dealer last year and I have them both serviced there so am always getting stuff on the loyalty rewards. Would you be so kind as to remind me about this time next year? :D

I huffed paint today. Okay, "huff" is a little misleading. I breathed in paint fumes as I painted all the walls and ceilings in the bathroom.

bath paint straight in door.jpg bath paint alcove.jpg bath paint sink area.jpg

Still have another coat or two to go - that will happen tomorrow. Next weekend the parents will be in town and they'll help me bring up the new vanity, sink/counter. They'll also help with installing the medicine cabinet and wall cabinet over the commode. Gotta take advantage of the free labor - they only visit every 10 years. So what if they are in their late 70's - I'm keeping them young by giving them exercise and making them feel useful :D

Yes it has, But It will take months for me to figure how to shut if off. Fusion was a simple button oin the dash. This has like 10 pages on a display you need to peck through!

Time to start doing home work!!

It has 18 alloys, New tires are gonna kill me................... Good thing they are Michelin's and are good for 70 plus. I may put 16 inch snows on it next year. 4 rims tires with TPMS sensors are less than $1K and should make the 18" last a few extra years.
