Recently, Scotty, our Chief, posted my fire pit on the FHC FB page. And called me an esteemed member. I just want everyone on here to know how much that means to me. 5 years ago when I had my accident. And broke my back in 3 places, all my ribs broken, and lucky to be alive and not paralyzed, all of you got me through it. I love all of you like brothers. And I have no idea how I became an esteemed member but thank you! Chief

Maybe I could make Fox News. "FHC member tfdchief tours the country and visits every FHC member. Oh, and drank their beer, stayed in their house, ate their food, and otherwise had a great time" :rofl: :thumbs:

Buying your wife her own stove put you there Chief.

You hit a rough patch in your life with your accident. Your honesty and openess gravitated a lot of support, and I think because of your struggles, it earned a lot of respect.

There are others here I can think of just as deserving, but your spirit of determination, along with love for family and friends stands out.

Let me say Chief, I have never met you but do respect you. I like to have fun as most of us on here do, but I remember very well when you got hurt and it was absolutely like one of my family had been injured. The love you speak of is returned just the same.....maybe some day I will meet you brother.

Well, let me explain a few things here.....

I met a lot of you guys on another site, and it was you guys that made me not only onto a better woodburner, but a better man. A man who has more hope for humanity now. A man who is proud to be a part of a family of like-minded individuals not only from our country, but around the world. And seeing what guys like tfdchief, Backwoods Savage, WeldrDave, Pallet Pete and others have persevered through, the service those men did for their communities, their country, and/or their families, the way they treat their fellow man......that's the kind of stuff that earns the title "esteemed" in my opinion.

I'm proud to call you all friends and look forward to a time when we can meet again. I will most definitely be at the next GTG out in Michigan..

Thank you for that mention Scotty, I am truly humbled hearing that! :tears: I maybe can also shed some light on this as well. Many of us are still here and will never leave from the inception of FHC. As you mentioned Scotty, we/some met over from another site but where I'm going is, "all" of us have something to contribute! Some had different jobs, different likes, different ailments  different hobbies and different thoughts. But what makes us so close is our goodness and a mutual respect for one another. "That's" the true reflection here!!! I feel I can call most of the men and women here my extended family and my Brothers and Sisters. And Scotty, "you" are the one who made it all into reality so don't sell yourself short either Brother!!! You are the one who stuck your neck on the chopping block for this, soooooooo…. I've spoken my peace! Here's to all of you! :drunk:
