Tannerite during hunting hours if the noise continues. Their choice.

If these clowns are stupid enough to provoke you to mess up their hunting, then they'll lose.
    Deer are very easily spooked.

Screwing with their hunt is illegal in most places. Hunter harassment. I dealt with this before on the hunting end of it. I can tell you the wardens take that seriously.

If the sheriff won't help, I'd go have a talk with them. Be civil. Pack heat. A face to face will probably do more than anything.

You guys are taking the wrong approach!!!

    Kill them with kindness!!!

Bake them cookies, bars even a pie and give it to them....at 2am...eách morning, with a note "Thanks again buddies"

Of course said cookies, bars and pie could have a healthy dose of ex-lax in it. :)

I guess I'm the minority, I'd let them be and have their fun. Especially since this isn't an every weekend thing.

I've got a neighbor that lives behind me, he's 40 years old and has never worked because he inherited a ton of money. He has loud parties a few times a year, often on weeknights. They'll be blazing up and down his driveway at 3 AM on 2 stroke dirtbikes, it's annoying but I let it be since I know it's just temporary and I put in earplugs and go back to sleep. My other neighbors, who are retired, call the cops on him every single time. I took the other option and walked back and ended up partying with them one night. While I was talking to him, he complained about the neighbors that always call the cops and then gave me permission to walk and hunt his 150 acres whenever I want. My wife and I take advantage of than and hike back there quite often now.

I love it. I did kind of something similar with the local telephone company. They had put a junction box on my property without permission, and also had delayed my felling a couple of Norway Spruce. I had to end up felling them in the opposite direction. I was going to let it go, but it was eating at me every time I looked at the thing. So I went down to the telephone company, explained the situation, and looked at the guy square in the eye, lowered and tightened my voice and told them to "Get it off my property!" Then I lightened up a little and gave them a month to do it or I was either going to fill it with tannerite, plant some sticks of rebar and encase the entire thing in cement. Then load a few shotgun shells with rock salt for any trespassers once I put up a fence. Or just fill the junction box with tannerite and watch it go boom and then put up a fence.

Well, the box was removed and a different type was used to bury it on the ROW, and not on my property. I put up the fence to prevent further incursions. And in the end they also gave me free internet for a couple of months for my troubles. I didn't expect any compensation of any kind, just wanted the box gone.

Well all is good. Sherriff came and went down to talk to them. They came up and apologized and it stopped. Glad I took the right approach.

Sounds like it turned out well. Sheriff is to be commended for following up on it and not pushing it to a back burner.
Unfortunately, with them being there only a few times a year, well we know what'll happen again. Similar scenario here near 99's house. Snowmobilers bought a place years ago and like to party outside with fireworks. they have been coming up pretty much every month now! Sheesh.
