I had the crusher run on to thick at first but I took care of that.

The top water temp was 75 degrees today.

It would've been nice if we had some clouds but we didn't so the sun was tough.

I'll need to find more work for the tractor so I can get 50 hours on it so it can go back in for the 50 hour checkup and also have the backhoe put on.

Just drive it around the woods for a few days. Done.
Any non-seat time, means a longer wait for the new toy,....uh, tool.

We have three rotten pine on trails near the house, I think we'll pull two down with the tractor or we'll try.

My neighbor said she had a Hemlock in the brook but from what I saw the top is hanging over the edge of the brook, we'll get that once it cools down.

I never took the camera today but I finished the first pile of crusher run and on Monday morning we'll order the second load.

The ole clutch leg is building up some muscles, only 40 more hours before the 50 hour checkup.

I thought about pulling down the dead pines but that was it, it's another hot one today.

Strengthen the leg, strengthen the mind too. Worry not about 50 hours. They will come soon enough.

While having a cup of coffee this morning I heard a banging noise of a heavy metal door, I was thinking the town was working up the road but after looking down the driveway, we could see our load of crusher run was delivered.

I ordered it on Saturday after they were closed and the company had it here at 7 this morning.

The majority of the driveway is done, we have one area up near the garage that we might use what's left to give it a fresh coat.

We'll finish this up in the middle of the week. I did take a ride around the property to see how the old musty woods was doing, we had a few small dead trees across two of the trails.

I had the boss out working with me today, she was a huge help and she even hauled a few bucket loads of crusher run. 102_0313.JPG

Is a heavy duty back blade worth the money for the tractor, I would use it on the driveway in the winter time for snow removal.

Is that all you want to do with it? There are lots of blade type devices. Box blades, power box rakes (Harley Rakes) and the pivoting straight blade you are eyeing. All are very useful.

thewoodlands OK now you know ... real, problem with tractors is you can develop an I need an attachment disorder real quick:hair: If you have a rental place by you I would look for me a Harley rake costs over 7k for a good one used they are kind of like tractors here almost for less grand more get a new one. I can rent a Harley rake 200 a weekend for the projects I need it for.. cheaper than maintaining one and building a shed for it...

Harley Rakes are badass. But not for snow removal. Maybe with a brush attachment.
