Congrats on the weight loss and the beginning of your journey towards being more healthy and moving more freely.

Even though I have a low BMI, I can tell when I've been eating too many carbs; even gluten free cereals. My knees almost won't hold me up in the morning when I get out of bed (or off the couch, whichever ). My hands also are stiff and feel swollen. I've just started back into getting serious about staying at a lo-carb. I was lo carb for years and my joints were fine, but it is very easy to fall off the wagon when everyone at work keeps bringing in great tasting stuff! Anyway, after a while you may find that you are moving more easily without surgery. Maybe not, but it has worked for some.

Feeling a bit better today. Got to take the kiddo school shopping(tax free weekend). And then maybe hit Olive Garden for an early dinner. Use the gift card we've had since xmas. Prolly the only $$ we'll have left.

And I wish I could say I could say the same thing. Instead put a one in front of you numbers and you will see the journey I need to take. Bet my joints will feel better even without surgery if I have that weight loss.

Well, I know it isn't celiac as I was tested for that last year after some mysterious something enflamed my entire digestive tract (from throat all the way down). But, I believe I at least I have some sensitivity and I have tried to avoid it for several years (not been doing so good the last couple of months). However, even non-gluten carbs will affect me. Unfortunately, I tend to forget that when someone brings in some delicious something. I have been more mindful of what I eat in the last week or so and hope to continue that trend!

that's some impressive stacks. Looks like you are all set. wood in a good storage area, and a geni for any power outage. I've got the geni and have a fireplace, but no wood. Fireplaces aren't worth much for heating anyway.

They are once you slide a wood stove in them. I got a neighbor who got hit by the job market. Could not afford wood pellets so he slid out the pellet eater and slid in a wood stove a bud gave him. He's been scrounging wood the last few years to heat at an affordable rate.
