That's one of the places I've been checking out too. I may get some 802 pellets from them, kind of a hike from here though. Here is the bag with funny things written on it.
A dealer in my area is going to start carrying them but I'm willing to make a 70 mile trip to try some first . It's sounds like a small operation 20 people with a good size plant and I love buying from a heart and soul company . I believe 802 is their area code because the plant they left is also in Vermont .
I could swear I saw an update mid-last season suggesting that due to the climate and low oil price conditions being bad for pellet sales, they decided to put the mill project on hold until conditions improve. Don't quote me on that. We should see if we can track down David and get him to pop in and talk to us about it. I for one would love to eventually get my hands on some of the product, when he gets things underway.
With all this chatter on the stuff IWP is gonna start selling. I got interested in what new stuff is out there a bit early this season. Interested in what you've all found and which you'd like to try..... 802's look interesting, I'd like to find those. So do those Blue ridge hardwoods....... Now to go looking to see who might have them in my area?
I though I saw it too. Went to the site, But not listed there that I could see. Must be tough putting the money on hold and still having to pay the rent?
I saw my pellet house list Vermont 802 in his spring listings. Never did ask about them since they were 295/ton-with Lacrete at 269 the 802's were too pricey.
I hear you guys . It's hard to buy at $ 300 a ton when there's plenty of good pellets at $ 250 - 270 a ton .
Still see some under $250 near me. One is at $224 and another at $239. Lower than the BBS. But I have no room at all. Just enough for a few kickers to sample the newer stuff if I can find them!!
