Well, picked up the 590 this morning at a local dealer. The ones you buy at box stores comes stock with a 20" bar for $399. Service dealers can order them with the "pro bar" 24" for only $30 more. So I went ahead and bought the one with the better bar. Haven't got a chance to run it yet but am hoping to put her to work tomorrow
oh no. I had been doing my homework on them for a while now and already had my mind pretty much made up. I stumbled across this forum in the process and decided to join to see if anyone had firsthand experience with one. Nobody had any negative thing to say so I decided to go ahead and buy
Yeah I saw that Stuff I was working the other day was bad on the inside , I cut the solid stuff and left the rest
That is a ridiculous price for that much saw. I was very close to buying either the cs-490 or 590 but I found a great deal on an 029 super. The local echo/husqvarna/stihl dealer told me in the next 5 years or so the price on echo saws is going to sky rocket once their market share goes up and they have the reputability like stihl and husqvarna do.
I can believe that. They offer more professional saw in other markets like the 501 sx the 390. I would really like to check them out
I have a few earthquake (china) saws with mag or aluminum crankcases and cylinder on case construction. They too can be built cheap. I don't know why stihl and others use clamshells?
Very pleased with my purchase Like a hot knife through butter, runs like a scalded ape, however you want to word it she flat out gets its done
Yep, I sold my Poulan to a coworker earlier today. I can't say too much bad about it tho. It serves me well and I was very rough on it. Cranked up with one pull this morning when I was showing it to Jon. Between the 590 and my little husqvarna I should be pretty well set
I would of figured out something else!! Hahaha. Buy you a forester off ebay for your shorter one....do they make Echo bars?
