Getting ready for my second cup. Let the dogs out this morning and it's still hot and humid in this end of the state. Hoping for a nice day, but it's off to a horrible start.

Gas, looks like you were right about it being a nice day. Humidity has dropped down to 68% already from 97% last night. A westerly breeze is bringing in drier air. Good stuff.

Back from a 3 day vacation down in PA, took the kiddos to hang out with Big Bird and friends. Tolls cost me more than gas

Good time, but back to paying the bills.

Ooooh, that came out nice Eric, and Mrs. VW, and Keith.
Gettin cars off the street is a gooder thing. Many moons ago, I had mine out there, and of all people, one of my ex brothers-in-law rear ended it. I think he was headed home from a party or something, but I don't remember why he came by our house.
    Anywho, you're gonna' like that.

My son uses his snow blade on his ATV to spread stuff around with. Just take some amounts at a time and get it done without a back ache.

Yes Saves. I hired a logger to come in and thin my woods out. I told them about 50% of the trees. There are/were way too many trees on the lot. Originally planted by my parents as a Christmas Tree farm. My parents sold Christmas trees for many years while we were in school. When the youngest got out they stopped selling them. It turned into a pretty woods, but the trees are competing with too many other trees. While harvesting we have found some of the White Pine to have what is called Red Rot. Unfortunately for me they can not sell those as saw timber. So they have to chip them. So I am losing some value there. But the logging trails have really opened up access to the land. I am going to have to rent an excavator in the future sometime to pull stumps on the main trails I want to keep nice. The loggers are moving along well and hopefully will be done by the end of August or middle of September.

First your toe, now your finger, what's up with that? Hope it heals well without complications. Good luck with the rest of summer.

Long day at work. I was planning on getting to my local BMW bike dealer to check our an S1000R, but I got asked to drop off components for an electrical enclosure that we need outsourced at a shop very local to my house. We need these panels ASAP, so I don't mind doing this.

I'm going tomorrow to check out the BMW dealership.

    Saw some big trees today.

    image.jpeg

Western Cascades. Silver Falls State Park, OR. I'm pretty sure these are old growth. The information said that most of the park had been cut in the '20s and since regrown. These trees were significantly bigger than most of what was there so I'm guessing they are old. They are either hemlock or Doug fir or Sitka spruce, I'm a bit out of my element on the tree id here.

And some nice waterfalls too. They were overhanging and the trails went behind them.

Today's job will be to run a replacement line set for AC. The system had been changed form r-22 to a r-410 system without changing the line set which is recommended. The newer AC runs at higher temps/pressures.
There is a leak somewhere in the system that has to be found also. Hopefully it's within the old line set.
The duct system that is being used is also an in ground loop that has failed and the building owners refuse to replace it with overhead new duct work. It is actually has mushrooms growing in it, standing water, etc. Guess they're planning on waiting until someone files a respiratory health claim against the employer before they address that.....
