Well been making my annual trips to the mountains for some more beetle kill. I am going to try and get 2 to 3 cords this year.
I get my propane filled once a year and just I got it filled this August. Getting that bill always makes it worth the trips for wood and the effort that it takes to process it. Filling the propane in the summer time gets me the summer rates which are always much less than what they charge in winter. This year my propane came out to 23.00 dollars a month. That makes me smile.

Don't know if that's your yard or not but dam it's just too neat, wish I could say the same for my wood yard. Like someone needs to get in there and start cutting and splitting. It makes me uncomfortable to think someone is that organized and everything is in place.

Yep that is the Yard, 40 acres. I just like having everything up off the ground. I think I might wait for some cooler weather before splitting, gives me something to do for winter. This wood will not get used this winter so it does not matter when it gets split. Thanks.

Mag Craft we can't help but notice all the trees in the background! :bug: But those logs stacked are really a pretty sight.

Well Savage there are not a lot of trees to be had around here, the reason for the trip to the mountains.

I am very fortunate though, after reading some of the health issues on here to still be able to cut and stack that wood like you see it. I do not know why but my back has never been an issue for me like so many here have. Lucky I guess.

It is funny I just realized that my spelling for replenishing is messed up. Oh well.

Yep 23.00 and much warmer than you would be even if it were 3 or 400.00 with propane.

Hey Mag Craft, we've been to your state several times and that is why I had to rib you a bit about all the trees....or lack thereof. Still a beautiful state!

Good for you on the back. I hope you never have a problem with it.

That is a very good point. I will heat the house up to a warmer temp with the stove than I would with the propane furnace.

The only pines that I have seen infected here are the lodgepole pine. I do not recall seeing trees like spruce affected by the beetle kill.

We do too. Keep the house around 80 degrees all winter long and love it. Would not even consider that if heating with propane, oil or gas. Plus we have plenty of wood to burn here.

Yep I did not even notice that until post number 7 and then I mentioned it. You know it is weird I can miss type a word and then go back and read it 3 times and still not notice that I miss typed the word. I guess maybe it is from having a preconceived thought already in my mind that I just over look it.

The refishing was pretty funny though.
