Takin my grandsons (6 & 8) to a Starkey Wilderness Park to chop some of the downed trees the ranger has cut and placed in the camping area.
Most people who camp there don't bring adequate chopping gear.....so we cut chop and split some wood for them.
    BOYS love hittin' crap!

Really? I've only seen distilled (used in clothes iron), but I haven't actually looked for RO water, and I haven't even gotten bottled water of any sort for several years.

And I thought squirrels and birds were my problem with the grapes.

fishingpol too bad about the grapes. If you are up against a raccoon, it will take some sneaky ways to keep them out. Oh but aren't they cute in your pictures! lol

Like the jelly part but not the 4 sick kids part especially in summer time. Hope it is over quick.

Tried instaling post with a little more weight this time. Today I installed almost 40 post.

The rest of the post on the outside of the spoiled one's pasture, two large 12 footers for a gate, and then a divider fence down about the middle of pasture so we can rotate the horses around. All post in except two I removed so feller/buncher and skidder can get in to take out a few more trees.

With the ground softer from the rain I was able to just lift the post up, jump a little, and use all my might and weight to stick them in the ground. Nice they are sharpened. I could then move right on and put a bunch in, then hammer them home with the machine. Worked great!

Here is a video of the extra weight I used today. In combination with the ground being soft, there was a big difference. Sorry about the quality of the video, still getting use to making these. LOL

Got my daughter moved today. Went pretty well all in all and it was good to be around all three of them again.

My two boys are sitting in the truck, then its my daughter and her boyfriend.

She moved in with her boyfriend and I'm not too crazy about the idea of living together without a commitment. As the dad I brought it up with her a month ago when she told me of their plans. It didn't make me too popular but being a parent isn't about being popular, it's about bringing up good kids.

I have to say each of my kids really know how to work hard. Constant work without a complaint or slacking off. Of course there was time for them to have fun after the work was done. :)

Started digging the trench for the power line to the garage this morning. Did what I thought would be the hardest section first. And got my a$$ handed to me. Compacted pit run, Sheesh!
Dug for 4 hours and my wrists, forearms, upper arms, neck back are killing me. Hope to finish the trench on Thursday or Friday. Hope.

    Must've sweated for 8 hours!!
