    Let us know how that trencher works.
    I need to rent a trencher too. I need to run an electric dog fence for my dogs.

    A trencher is severe overkill... you need to be 2" below the surface, at least that was my install.

    I bought a used powered edger and then sold it after I was done. A small enough yard just use a square shovel.

    Due to oak being, well, oak, I don't know if 1 year like that would do it. Other species, even ones that take 2 years to dry would probably be good in a year in that spot though.

    Give it a shot.:yes::salute:

    I've got an acre. A small vibration trencher is ~$60 a day.

    A power edger though. Hmmm

    Maybe I buy that attachment for the ryobi weed whacker.

    Home from work. Fire in the firepit on a nice cool night, looking at the stars and watching for satellites.

    Watched the Vikings play the Bengals for a bit earlier. Saw that home grown Wisconsin Badger run a punt back for a touchdown!

    Alex Erickson plays with a ton of heart. He did at Wisconsin, and I think even as an UDFA he'll make the Bengals 53 man roster.

    Not yet. But if they are going to I bet they will today. I heard them working on something down there this morning at 06:00. :picard: C'mon guys. You can't wait until 07:00? I didn't think they would start that early, and I was wrong.

    Caffeine going in, need to go walking/running this morning. I will get rained on though. Maybe I'll use the tread mill.

    The big chip truck/trailer just pulled in. Chipper now running at 06:22. it doesn't bother us, but the neighbors are closer to it and that makes a difference. They should give them until 07:00 at least.

    Good morning, weather forecast calling for "up to 4" of rain" by Sunday nite/Monday morning.
    Caught bunches of Bluegill fishes yesterday, was a great (very hot) day in the canoe. 100_2235.JPG

    I am admitting defeat on the grapes this year. It was looking forward to an excellent crop for jelly again. I pruned the vines back in the spring, opened the canopy up to let more air in to prevent bunch rot, and picked bad leaves off throughout the season. There were a lot of nice developing clusters.

    The drought has taken its toll on the surrounding shrubs that usually have berries this time of year to feed the wildlife. It is pretty much a constant invasion of squirrels, blue jays, robins, catbirds and now orioles this morning. Chipmunks are providing ground cleanup. I am really surprised at the amount of wildlife dependent on a food source. I guess they need it more than me. Hopefully the crabapples trees at my brothers yard will provided for some jelly this fall.
