    Haaaaaaaaa.

    Been there done that.

I was just out of high school and working at a Mopar dealer locally.

Had a Chrysler Impy with 2 things going on.

1- A really nasty rattling noise on the left side rear behind the driver.
    2- A very PO'ED new owner.

Tore the back seat out and I laid back there while another mech drove.

Noise coming from inside the rear quarter area (2 door )

`Ended up cutting a hole in the inside panel.

Same thing, some AZZ had stuffed a bottle in there with a note.

The boss carefully had finger prints taken and sent the info to the factory with the bottle.

They actually caught the Sum B and canned him.

That stuff causes a lot of misery for many.

We heard rumbles, But besides the gray skies it missed us. Not even a drop. Wished it would have at least a little to cool it off some.

Have fun on the weekend get away IHP!!

Had a shower come through earlier this afternoon with some fairly heavy rain. Another round is winding down now but this rain was a moderate, ground soaking rain that we need. Still drizzling but I don't expect it will last much longer. More rain expected tomorrow and possibly early next week. I hope so.

Enjoy yourself. I used to go there as a kid just to gawk at the skimpily clad tourist who were not so modest as the residents. That would backfire once in a while when someone was in a skimpy bikini and should have been in a tent. :jaw:

Wishing I had gotten some of the rain forecast for yesterday and today. However, that didn't happen. The swamp next door is dry, the Contoocook River a couple of blocks away is really low. Bears are invading because there is no food in the woods (not my place, but heard it on the news a while ago). And the town has gone from fires needeing to be 40' from structures (about a month ago), to 45' (two weeks ago) - and now they are at 50' from structures.

In a while I will string hose and water some shrubs I planted last year in a wet area next to the swamp - they are wilting :hair:. Never thought I would have to water them, but Mother Nature is having different ideas.

On a good note, began vacation with a bang. Halestorm/Shinedown concert was fantastic last night !!!!

4 bands total. Missed the first band but caught the second band-Black Stone Cherry and man they were great too! I love hearing a new to me band that is that good
Halestorm kicked azz and Shinedown seems to have some of their edge back from the early days. Great night and exactly what the doctor ordered !!!!

Hot and humid as all hell, but some ice cream between sets did the trick-cold for the heat and sugar for the energy. :) Good stuff too. Meadowbrook has The Common Man Homemade Ice Cream there.

Good plan there bud. Some were trying to hydrate the wrong way last night in the high heat and humidity-and paid the price. One guy a few rows behind us very likely left by ambulance-that my have been due to more than hydration though.

Missed the T Storms as well which can with cool it off a bit or crank the humidity even higher

Hot the past few days here.

No rain for the next several days.
Few cooler mornings/days starting tomorrow, but then back into the cooker for the later half of the week.

Definitely not stove weather for the foreseeable future.

Was sort of cozy the other day having the little fire in the morning.

I must have irritated MA SUMMER, as she is a gettin warm now.

AC all set and working good.

Had a water issue with the AC UNIT the other day.

The unit is 22 years old and the Evaporator drain pan is on it's last legs.

Fixed some rusted out spots several times over the past few years, but this sort of PATCH UP only lasts so long.

The other night there was a wet spot on the downstairs drop panel ceiling, and a quick look confirmed my fears that the drain pan was leaking again.

Fooled with things over a day or two and finally discovered a small piece of the thin fiberglass insulation that covered the outside of the original metal drain pan had been dislodged from the side of the pan and had ended up sort of half in half out of the pan and was WICKING water out and allowing it to drip drip drip drip behind the blower fan and down into the bottom of the air handler. :hair:

After removing the offending piece of insulation things have stayed dry

I bought a new A coil last year and the plan was to replace the beast, but I am thinking that replacing the outdoor unit as well is a smart plan.

Be a real bummer to get things all back together and then have the compressor grenade and skunk the new A coil all up with junk.

Gonna try and soldier on until fall, and then do a complete freshen up next spring before the heat gets here.

    Ahhh yessss.

The joys of being a home owner eh ??? :picard:

Back in May it was a new Roof
    Then came the LR/DR remodel

All these things have been in the wings for quite a while, but my health issues and such precluded spending any real $$$$$$$$$$$$ up until this past fall.

We had the acreage logged off as the trees were nearly too big to be of high value.

This allowed several things to happen.

Been nursing a very tired roof for several years and had grown tired of trying to play patch up.

Getting these things fixed now is a good thing.

The humidity around here is off the charts. The weatherman said one day earlier this week the dew point hit 81. Walk outside and you might as well be standing in a swimming pool. Anyway, hoping this passes in the next week or two.

Walked the dogs this morning and starting to see some early signs of fall. Not too many hickory nuts yet, but seeing them here and there on the side of the road. Those acorns (size and quantity) look very similar to last year, lots more than we usually have. Here's hoping this is an early sign of another mild winter!

We had better luck. It rain, then it rained and so on and off all night. Looking out the window now, all overcast and beads of water on everything. I have no idea how far down the ground is damp. Doubt it is very far at all, but some is better than none. At least for the moment, the plants and animals have some moisture. Radar shows a big front heading our way.

We have one of those flush up systems from Saniflow. Had it for at least 10 yrs. It was the only thing we saved from our do over last years. They cost about $1000. It started making noises a month ago, so I ordered a replacement. My son was to change it out, but kept putting it off because it can be a unpleasant experience. :picard:. Well, the inevitable happened this morning. Lucky for us, my son was home and didn't have plans. He switched it out in about a half hour.
here is a picture of the storm that is west of here you could past it to the first one I sent.
